Just a little heads up for anyone expecting this to be a horror-zombie movie. The people in the film are dead, and can't be killed again, but other than that they behave like normal people, albeit a little slow. It definitely falls under a art/drama category and was no way intended to be a horror story. It mostly deals with loss, accepting that loss, and what its like to have let go of something only to have it returned to you. A deeply thoughtful film, and well worth watching, but don't expect even a smidgin of a horror element.

Sounds like one of those early 90's movies that grad students and goth kids smoking clove cigarettes pretended to like so they could pretend to be unique to everyone else.

hah! awesome analogy! but all seriousness, i really wanted to check out this movie. i'm a sucker for a good arthouse flick i.e. eternal sunshine. this movie's hard to track down; it also goes under the name les revenants. since i can't find it, i'll just have to get dead heat with joe piscapo! :loon:

Definitely will. Looks like it's on backorder but my copy supposedly ships on the 11th so hopefully somebody sees it in the meantime.

Guess I hadn't mentioned that I recently watched the movie. Oh well. Anyway, it's quite good. Well acted and directed, something of an ensemble cast, with intersecting story lines, all of which are quite touching and sad.

This is a decent film. Not much in the way of action and no flesh eating. For those seeking a good, dramatic movie about the dead returning to life and society's attempts to reintegrate them, this is for you.
