It's Lucio Fulci's masterpiece, and I highly recommend you see this one... There are so many great scenes in this flick, I wouldn't dare think of spoiling it for you.

Got the 25th anniversary edition for my Birthday, its pretty good, despite some minor editing things that are noticeable and the long, long lOOOOOOONg begining, when things pick up, they really pick up. Deffiently a good movie, but not for the non zombie loving.

Best Buy always has a few copies of the Re-mastered version on hand. At least the ones around here do.

the cool thing about the fulci movies is that they have unrelated stories so really you can buy any of them and have a great time. Although zombie (aka zombi2) is a classic, I think zombie3 and zombie4 are more fastpaced and enjoyable to watch (i mean come on the zombie head coming out of the fridge in zombie3....thats beautiful!)

i bought the 25th anniversary edition at best buy...3 times. i would've given up after the second bad copy, but the store was very generous and encouraged me to try another. my dvd (all copies) froze on dr. menard's face just after dr. bowles dies. i tried it on 2 dvd players and in my computer dvd drive. so, as of right now i do not have zombi 2 in my collection and would really like to. has anyone else had this experience?
btw, aside from the technical problem i had, the 2 disc 25th anniversary edition is fantastic. the interviews are very interesting!

Man, that movie could have been so much better than it was. I'll still buy it though. I'm a sucker for Sci-Fi Originals.

Just the splintered eye scene alone is worth the purchase price! Very few directors can scare you with a scene that hardly even shows the zombie but Fulci pulls it off here like nobody's business! The living room feasting scene is also probably my favorite out of anything I've ever seen. I still have my old VHS copy but am always tempted to purchase the special edition DVD whenever I'm in Best Buy. Is it worth it?
Thanks

The first part of the movie dragged on seemingly forever, but once it got going it ended up being a good flick. I took my time buying it as it was only available to order for 20 bucks, but I found it at Best Buy for $15. Then I saw it for $3 at a video store that was goinh out of business. Anyhow, some great scenes...

The only three things that I can recall about this film are:
1) Zombie vs Shark. One of the best 'WTF?' moments I've ever seen...
2) The final shot of the zombies shufflin' across the bridge heading for NY...
3) The trailer. Which I'm convinced is better than the film.
Especially the text about the complementary 'barf bag...'

Zombie vs Shark- So great, I thought everyone was pulling my lef untill i saw it.
Eye vs Door- OH sweet God! Most disgusting and yet amazingly good scene i've ever seen.
Zombie fights- eh, they're ok, kinda goofy, but good none the less
Best Buy is becoming the place to get good Horror DVDs it seems. Warehouse doesnt have anything worth buying, or if they do its too damn expensive and Blockbuster sucks. Best buy and Rasputin are my 2 favorite places for horror dvds. but both are out in bum f-ck no where!
Damn my lack of a car
I think i might bust this movie out tonight

Im saddened that there is no mention of the totally excellent zombie showdown at the end. While it isnt the best climax of zombie films, but it certainly kicks ass. I've modeled several D20m and AFMBE sessions after this particular part of the movie.

If you`re in the UK ... I bought Zombie Flesh-Eaters (aka Zombi 2) on DVD last weekend for the princely sum of 3 Quid at my local Virgin Megastore.
