ok i watched the DVD. overall it's a pretty good independent zombie flick. it's much better than a lot of the independent zombie stuff i've gotten recently. the gore is pretty good, the zombies look good, a little nudity, but as in most independent films there are spots that just aren't believeable. the scenes with zombies attacking/holding people down just aren't believeable. it looks like they barely touch the person yet they fall to the ground for some gut munching sequences. another scene that bugged me had a guy pushing a wheelchair with a lady in it. a zombie came around a corner and pushed the wheelchair over. the guy just watched the zombie kneel down and start eating the lady. that's when he decided to make a half assed attempt at saving her.

still, there's several good aspects to the film and it'll get more watches than most of the independent zombie films i've collected over the years. check this film out, hell you'll be supporting independent films if nothing else!

No, I haven't seen that one but the make up and camera work looked very decent. Alot of the scenes in the trailer seemed to have that Lucio Fulci feel to them which is more than welcome in my book! Might try to go out tonight and try to locate that one since it's evidently been out since fall of 2003. Did you check to see if there was an old thread about it? If so, that will answer most questions about it...

I have this and for an indie its not bad.Better then alot of the others ones that have been coming out.I'm looking forward to seeing Zombie Night 2 when it comes out next year :evil:

Okay, I managed to sit though this and it was pretty bad. There was just so much crap that didn't make sense. The deal with zombies touching someone and the victim falls down yelling for help is weak. Or just stupid shit like "We can't go to the second floor of this abandoned building because it's not ready. Yikes! Zombies are attacking! Quick! Get to the second floor!" What the hell? Why didn't you dumbasses just do that in the first place?

Wait... what? No one wants to even question that? This movie was just felt like a quick attempt to slap together a zombie movie. Oh, and the most ANNOYING AS HELL DVD ever... you can't skip, stop, fast forward the previews. That's right, you have to sit through them to get to the menu. Anything else gives you the "NO" sign.

I give this movie a resounding NO! Watch at your own risk.. that is if you don't chuck a brick at the DVD player trying to skip the previews before the movie starts.

I was recently told by the company that released this that they would be happy to send me info on their films and I can watch trailers and that should be good enough for an "assessment". Unfortunately, they don't release screeners any longer due to...get this...piracy in the film industry.

Lionsgate, Anchor Bay, Full Moon...EVEN THE ASYLUM offer screeners of their films to media! Normally when a company refuses to provide reviewers with screeners there's only two reasons...

A. They're holding a grudge after a poor review you did...or...

B. They know their movie is absolute garbage and offering up screeners before the film is released may mean an early death for a film that may not even break even to begin with.

In Maverick's case I really believe option B applies to them.

I'm in complete agreement with you Slumlord. I wanted to like this movie but couldn't. I can't stand it when characters more or less just lay down and let zombies have them. They didn't even struggle or try to get away, just laid there screaming with thier hands at thier sides. Also, did you notice how people just popped up out of nowhere without any kind of entrance. You'd be watching and all of a sudden there'd be like an extra ten people in the scene that weren't there a moment before.

lol... yeah! Like when the survivors were sneaking past a bunch of rednecks in the woods. Watch when they go past the metal shed, about 4 people pop out from behind it and migrate into the group.

This was one of the worst movies ever...It had more continuity errors than KING KONG. If zombies ever attack though...i'm investing in card board boxes.

This movie could have been 57x better with better acting, actual struggle rather than lyind down and doing nothing. The story is decent, this is exactly why I need to make zombie movies.

I think my favorite part in this movie is when that guy jumps off the roof after he gets bitten to avoid becoming a zombie. When they go to check out his bodie there are Spagetti-O's on his head to represent blood and brains. Now by Spagetti-O's I mean just that...a can of pasta in the shape of an "o" was poured on his head and the ground around him. You can see the little "o" all floating around in there and shit.
I also loved it whenever an actor flubbed his/her line and they don't bother to reshoot it. The actor just pauses for a moment and then starts up again as if they never screwed up.
Oh, and I am totally taking that funeral scene where the guy yells up at the sky "Have you fosaken us God?! Well maybe we have forsaken you!" and sending it into the Oscar review board with "for your consideration" stamped all over it.

I finally saw this, it's sucks. The acting was bad, the dialog was bad, the camera shots were bad. The only interesting thing about this movie was that the zombies only came out at night. They like lay there on the ground during the day and once it gets dark they get up (like vampires). This is an interesting twist that I never saw in a zombie movie before but even this original plot line can't save the movie from crapville.:puke:

The only time I would consider seeing this one again was if I'm stoned out of my mind. Since I swore off pot its gonna be a while. Yeb Crapville has a new resident called Zombie Night. Since these zombies only come out at night I dub this movie Night Zombies.

Awww come on folks. It's an Independent Zombie Flick. You can't expect, and you certainly won't get it in "Zombie Night", good acting, good filming, good dialogue or even good gore from this cheepy. But that's what gives it it's charm. I loved it.

And I was looking on imdb.com, and it says Amber Francis died in 2002. Is that true? Be an awful shame if it was.
