Indeed - I think I'll snap it up. I have been avoiding the rest of the series but how can one resist?

And only a couple of weeks to wait too!!

I am curious about the extras but I have emailed Media Blasters before and it just disappeared into the electronic aether so I'm not confident about I'll find it out before I can get it here (or one of you ncie people lets us all know first ;) ).

Stinker :(

I bet a few people are in this position. Does the extra film and extras make it worth buying? I'm unsure.

I'm glad I waited and can add this to my list of boxsets to get along with Phantasm and the Blind Dead (discussed elsewhere).

I also stumbled across these sets which Fulci fans might also find interesting (esp. if you wanted to branch out into his non-zombie work although there is zombie stuff there too):

This seems to now been shipping. Anyone got it yet?

I've been keeping an eye open for it being easily available in the UK but it hasn't yet popped up - even via one of the shops that are at Amazon but nothing yet. It'll be here if it is:

www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007UVXCM/revenantmagaz-21

I may have to buy some things direct from Amazon.com so I may crack as I unsure I can wait ;)

I don't believe there is anything "extra" in this box. It is just the releases that they have already put out...they just put them together in a box...

In other words, if you already have 3, 4, and 5, there is no need to get this...

If you don't have any of them, grab it...can't beat the price...

I ordered this yesterday. I already have part 4. Yes, I know it sucks. I have seen part 3, and yes, I know it sucks as well. I would like to own part 3 and finally get a chance to see part 5, which I'm sure sucks as well. I got it through Deep Discount DVD for a good price.

What's the picture quality like? I have had negative experiences with Box sets, where it often seems like the movies are transferred directly from the VHS.

I got mine on Wednesday.I had already seen Zombie 3 before but this was my first time seeing After Death and Killing Birds.AD and KB were okay but they didn't really need to be part of the Zombie series.

I just ordered this one! Allready got After Death but im Looking forward to see Zombi 5 even tough I heard its really bad. Zombi 3 got a lot of cool gore scenes in it even tough the movie itself is pretty lame.

I've seen three and four and eagerly await seeing 5. The funniest goof ups were in the third one- you see in the background a hand reach out and turn the fog machine on and adjust it as the main characters enter the scene.

Also 3-4 recycle characters. There is a chuck norris look alike that was in both films who did literally the same thing. He fights off a bunch of zombies and you start routing for him and then he dies.

The R1 DVDs have started trickling through from the usual suspects (caiman_usa and dvdlegacyuk - I buy stuff through them quite a bit) and I've ordered mine for just over £10 which (with £1ish P&P) works out nicely per film :)

I paid $ 11.97 at Deep Discount DVD’s! :)

Zombie 5 was actually better then expected. The few zombies in the movie looked really cool kind of similar to the Zombies in Bone Sickness, and Zombie 2.
The scene where the Zombies surrounded the car in the thick fog was very atmospheric and cool. There where also some cool gore scenes. I liked this one better then After Death.

I bought this box set the other day, and I was just about to make a post about it when I saw the thread. I paid $12.99 at Best Buy and I've really liked it so far. Lots of cheesy gore, awesome. I have yet to watch Zombie 5, though...I'm kind of weary.

well, now i'm looking forward to seeing 5. i liked 4 much more than 3, and i totally expected each one to be worse than the previous one.

the best part of all these dvd's are the interviews with the italians. it's so interesting to me that fragasso thinks his film is much worse than zombi 3. and i'm assuming the interview was done in 2002 or after? i think the faster pace works much better for these films, and that's why after death is more enjoyable. i really wish an uncut version existed. onto the killing birds...
