First off, hi guys I'm new to the forums but I have an ABSOLUTE PASSION for zombie movies! I wake up every morning hoping to open up my blinds and see the living dead limping around in the street. Am I strange? You bet!
This summer excites the hell out of me for two main reasons:
Land of the Dead
Undead
Both look FANTASTIC! Which one are you guys looking forward to most?
Also war of the worlds, the island, batman begins all look good to me. Any other good upcoming zombie movies you guys can link me to? Awesome site by the way :D

I'm really looking forward to Romero's "Land of the Dead"
I'm glad John Leguizamo is in it..I think Charlie Murphy is one of the lead zombies too
I hadn't heard of "Undead" so I searched it
Undead
SYNOPSIS
Peaceful, rustic Berkeley is a charming fishing community where life is sweet and the people friendly. All that is about to change. After losing her childhood farm to the bank, local beauty Rene decides to leave town and head for the big city. Suddenly, an avalanche of meteorites races through the sky, bombarding the town and bringing an otherworldly infection. Departing is going to be much more difficult than she had planned. The living dead are awakened and Rene is now caught in a nightmare of zombies hungry for human flesh. She manages to find salvation in a small isolated farm house owned by the town loony, Marion. There she is met with four other desperate survivors. Together they battle their way through a plague of walking dead and discover that there is more transpiring than just an infection.
UNDEAD features an overflow of gore and visual effects to make any horror fan squirm with delight. It is the first feature film written, produced and directed by twin brothers Michael and Peter Spierig.

What about Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith? Not quite a Zombie flick, but either is War of the Worlds, The Island, or Batman Begins. ;-)

There are already threads on 'undead' here look around. The only bad thing about wanting to see the dead shambling around outside of your window is It will only be cool for a few minutes. Because if it happens....you'll be shambling around soon after.

Best summer ever.... um not really. At least not for me, this is my first summer in the real world, having graduated from college and having a real job. All that said I think I am anticipating the movies this summer more then in past summers.
Especially LotD, and the prospect of seeing Undead on the big screen for the first time.

I saw the Stink of Flesh trailer the other day and thought it looked like good fun. There is an article on it in issue 243 of Fango.

I still think that last summer is the best summer. Why? It's when Day of the Dead was finally re-released on DVD. Hell yeah. Nothing like grabbing a half dozen cans of Steel Reserve (We're from Dayton) and throwing in DayOFD in the player. From there we had to watch Night 68 and the remake in 90. If we were lucky we would actually find DawnOTD at Blockbuster on VHS (DVD re-release had come out yet.) From there we always had Fulci and any other B-movie we could find at the store. Yeah, for me and Zombie Ninja at least, nothing could top last summer.

I have to agree Darth Erroneous. That summer rocked. Nothing like drinking our gin and juice (Steele Reserve) downtown Dayton. It's not like this summer, living up here in Detroit. The Memories of being introduced to several zombie movies. That's when the dreams started.

Haven't we all covered this already? CHARLIE MURPHY IS NOT IN LAND OF THE DEAD. Big Daddy is played by Eugene Clark!!!

As far as all movies goes it might be the best summer ever. For zombie movies there's only 2 really worth watching.LOTD and Undead.I'm not counting the millions of STV garbage that's coming out either.

I don't know about the best summer, but it may be a pretty good year or two, when it comes to zombie movies.
