Hello, all. Ever wondered where all the holiday zombie fiction is? Look no further. I just finished reading a book called "The Stupidest Angle" by Christopher Moore. It had angles from the Lord! It had a Santa murder! It had a horde of the undead, including the aformentioned murdered Santa! It had a warrior babe zombie killer!

Lots of fun, and zombies too. I would recommend it. Just in time for the Christmas season. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Thanks oslowe! I'm adding this to the zombie book list--were the zombies Romero-style or fast moving or what?

Thanks,
Jacob

I guess they were ROTLD-like. The state of decomposition decided their mobility. Also, they could talk and remember stuff (boy, the murdered santa was po'd) and of course, craving brains. There is an excellent scene where a zombie suck someone's brain out of a bullet hole...

A small word of warning-the zombies don't wake up til the second half of the book. But the weirdness and holiday-themed murder help.

I apologize if there's already a thread posted on this topic. I just finished reading THE STUPIDEST ANGEL by Christopher Moore and it's got to be one of the wildest reads I've come across. Undead Santas, brain-dead angels, drop dead gorgeous warrior princesses, a whole graveyard full of back-from-the-dead zombies and a fruit bat named Roberto.

I highly recommend this one.

Thanks for the recommendation - this looks like my kind of book :)

I had a look over at Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0060590254/wwwrevenantmc-20) and it has glowing reviews and this:

Never judge a book by its cover! The cover looks sweet, charming even heartwarming. The story was awful. I did not expet dead people sucking brains out of the living at a Christmas party. Absolutely disgusting in every way.

What has sold me more than the glowing reviews. ;)

All of Christopher Moore's books are great - but this one is definitely the best.

I got it for my birthday last year from an aunty who's crap at buying presents. She picked it up off the bookshelf without even reading the blurb and gave it to me on the guise that it's "different from the usual trash" I read.

And I'm still laughing, both at her and the book.... :)

LOL - cool ;)

Are there zombies in his other books?

I believe some (most?) of them are set in the same place - would it be helpful reading some of the others?
