Dawn Of The Dead 2004 Comic Adaptation

I'll admit it, I am pissed off about this.

I've been waiting months for this comic to be released, and as the news on the Mig Biz website says; "DAWN OF THE DEAD COMIC BOOK COMING FALL 2004".

It is now officially winter, as of December 21st. Sounds like I'm being fickle, but I don't believe its ever coming out.

Even though the Mig Biz Public Relations Director released a statement declaring it to be out in April/May 2004. (http://www.prweb.com/releases/2004/3/prweb111730.htm)

Miguel Insignares (http://www.hcso.tampa.fl.us/pub/default.asp?/Online/qdisp/bn=03002186) has gotten the contract to do this AGES AGO (http://www.prweb.com/releases/2004/3/prweb111730.htm) , and if you check his website (http://www.mig.biz/DAWNOFTHEDEADCOMICBOOK.htm), he isn't up to much else.

Where is the work, and what is the hold up?

Maybe Bob Layton, Future Comic's President and former employer to Insignares, was mentioning him in the article 'NO FUTURE?' (http://www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com/rage/104608132562474.htm)

Has Miguel decided to take the pre-order money and run?

I may be right the hell out of it but I am pretty sure that it has been released. If you have access to ebay do a search for Dawn of the dead comics and they will be there. What I have seen is a three comic series that has been advertised as the movie's adaptation. Issue # 1 has, what looks like a negative of a photograph except in black and red, of a face screeming. Could this be what you are talking about?

That's IDW's Comic adaptation of the 1978 version of Dawn of the Dead, which I wouldn't recommend spending too much money on.

There was a limited number of sample comics (for the 2004 version) sold with DOTD DVDs in Circuit City stores (Oct. 2004).

I think it's bad business practice to miss out on the DVD's release. The developers could have used the momentum of DVD's sales to their advantage.

I've got all three comics. And, in my opinion, I say it is very well worth picking up if you don't have them yet! It is an adaptation of the original DOTD, it is VERY well done. The artwork, the coloring, everything about it is on the money! It is DEFINITELY a MUST HAVE to add to your collection of Horror!

I don't get this. The whole comic-version-of-the-movie just never cuts the jugular for me. The last comic adaptation I bought was the first Burton/Keaton Batman. If I want the '04 Dawn story, I'll watch my DVD. My comics budget has become too strained to buy storylines which I already know forwards & backwards.

Well, first of all..a drawn out "Duh" would be "Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh", there would be no "ggggggggggg" in it, to add "gggg" to it would signify a Homer Simpson when he finds something to be really good.....such as "Donuts....Uhgggggghghghgh". And secondly.....you helped no one but yourself.
