Its great, I prefer it to Simon Clarks other quasi zombie book Stranger. He does a good job of conveying personal feelings/perspective without being too verbose and convulterd. The ending gets alittle muddled but otherwise a grea book. Nailed by the Heart is another Clark book, but the zombies arent really zombies and are used to minimal effect. It is still scary though. There is cool eerie part when they talk to children outposts in Dublin and New York I think which just leaves you on the edge of the proverbial seat.
Have a good day.

What's "Stranger"? Explain!
Stranger is another post-apocalyptic book by Simon Clark. It is good but not as good as Blood Crazy. Here is a description from Booklist:
In this nasty little romp through a post-apocalyptic, plague-ridden country, the mere survival of the human species is highly unlikely. The Gantose plague, at first carried by South Americans, makes people terrified of illness and, eventually, insanely violent. Some pockets of the immune and merely isolated remain, fighting the killer "hornets"--those infected with the plague--to survive. Executioner Greg Valdiva, tolerated by the town of Sullivan because he can sense the presence of the disease in visiting strangers, sees lights across the lake in Lewis and leaves Sullivan to investigate. When he returns, the town no longer wants an executioner and, therefore, no longer wants him. With another Sullivan resident and a band of survivors from New York, Valdiva then has to fight tooth-and-nail to survive. These "heroes" are tough and certainly not perfect, but their fight is engrossing. The ending leaves many questions unanswered, but well crafted stories will do that.
You can buy it used for $3.00 here (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0843950765/permutedpress-20).

Blood Crazy is outstanding. If you enjoyed 28 Days Later or Among Madmen, this will be right up your alley.

Another really good british author is Stephen Laws, I am in the middle of reading Darkfall by him and its really great. Basically it takes place in Newcastle and London. It takes place during Christmas (oddly enough I didnt know this when I picked up the book yesterday, but really how timely can you get!) and in this buliding there is a party, a storm has risen and gets struck by something called a Darkfall lighting bolt. This in turn causes ever person in contact with a surface of the buliding to be sucked into its stucutre due to the change of the peoples molecules. So as a result of several Chirstmas parties in the buliding 84 people get sucked into it. Some people get spit back out to fall 4,000 feet into a garden, or wind up in london,

sorry about the abrupt ending to the post, my computer crashed. Anyways, those who do show back up are slowly turning into a concrete subtance and like to eat people. The book so far is mainly centralized to the building and the detictives working there with a special task force.

i looked on both Ebay and Amazon and could find no books by David Wellington.
It's online for free at http://www.monsternovel.com. He's also got a story in our upcoming zombie anthology The Undead.
