I just bought this for my friend, but I haven't read it, one of the comic book store clerks said it was good.....what are your views, that's if you've read it... :drool:

I'd have to say that I was disappointed with Remains, partly because I have come to expect amazing things from its author, Steve Niles.

And partly because I didn't feel any empathy for the characters, nor did I feel that it was very clear what was happening outside of their bickering.

If i had to tell you what it was about, I'd have to say 'It's a pissing contest between two scumbags, in the middle of the apocolpyse.'

The story really is about two @#*%heads.

I'd recommend Niles', Dark Days, Alistaire Arcane and The Lurkers.

Ok, thanks for the welcome 'n' stuff, oh and goddamn it you awfulman for saying bad schtick about it....you've given me second thoughts as a gift now ....maybe i should just give my friend this severed foot....i suppose he could use it as some sorta paper weight....

I liked Remains.While not Nile's best work,it was still pretty good.As mentioned before,the two main characters were complete assholes but I think that was a nice change.You actually wanted to see the zombies get them every time they were in dangerous situations.

I didn't mention Wake The Dead because I didn't enjoy it as much as the ones I listed. It was a good revision of Frankenstein, but I think I have a dislike for Chee's art style.

I even thought Dark Days was better than 30 Days Of Night. I haven't read all of Niles' work, but I should! The titles I listed are just excellent!

I'm really glad Niles did a zombie comic, of course. But you know,the thing about the two assholes...

We should retitle this Let's Talk About Niles!
