From a source at Bloody-Disgusting.com:
"I spoke to Jeffery Combs at Starbase indy today (11/25) about the possability of doing another Reanimator movie. It seems that his agent contacted him last month regarding such, and he said, "I love that character. I would really like to do another movie. I can't wait to get the script." It seems that before Jeffery gets his hands on this script there are certian contractual items that need to be clarified. Jeffery can't wait to get started on this one"
Reanimated zombies in the White House itself? Sounds like an interesting change of scenery. Hopefully it'll be better than Brian Yuzna's Beyond Re-Animator, but it sounds like Stuart Gordon himself will be back in the director's chair this time...

Yep. According to Stuart Gordon, the premise of the film goes something along the lines of VP Cheney having a heart attack.....and being reanimated by Herbert West. Cue the usual undead mayhem and dark humor...

That would be completely outrageous cinema if the story is written that way.
Yeah SG, keep us updated on this one.

This does sound promising. I look forward to hearing more and seeing a film that redeems the series.

I actually enjoyed Beyond the Reanimator. Well, the uncut version. The cut version didn't make any sense. This sounds pretty goofy, which leads us to believe it'll be more like the first and less like the second and third. I won't get my hopes up but this could be good and yeah, who's the chick in the yellow, or guy, I have been fooled before. :x

She looks so content...like she just purchased them that weekend and wanted to show them off.
Anyway...at first, my heart sank at a fourth Re-Animator, after the atrocity that is Beyond...but with Gordon directing, I have hope.

Jefferey Combs (aka Dr.Herbert West) stated at this weekend's Horrorfind convention in Baltimore, Maryland that he'll be signing on to do other Re-Animator sequels besides House of Re-Animator. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/bzn123/Smileys/Characters/1bnz_smiley.gif
Here's the article:
'Re-Animator' Goes Sequel Crazy?!
Although it was already known that Jefferey Combs would be returning in House of Re-Animator, the fourth Re-Animator, if it happened- but how about a 5th and 6th film?! Max writes in from the Horrorfind Weekend convention that took place this past Saturday in Glen Burnie, Maryland, "While meeting Jeffrey Combs I asked him about a Re-Animator 4, he stated he is preparing to sign on to not only 4, but 5 and 6 as well. No word if they will be theatrical releases yet, but he definately said he is signing on." How's that for goods?! House is a political satire that should certain people be back in office, then I would do it. I hope I do not have to go ahead with it, but if I do, it would be about V.P. Cheney passing from a heart attack and since he basically runs everything, Dr. West is called in to bring him back.

Cool beans. The Re-Animator series has been an enjoyable on (even given the flaws present in both sequels). Having Stuart Gordon return is every fans dream come true (the original works because of Gordon's handling of the material).
