Marvel Zombies Return!

Yep, they're back. Marvel's undead heroes return in their fifth series entitled Marvel Zombies Return. This one picks up the story thread left open at the end of Marvel Zombies 2 as the surviving Marvel flesh-eaters were teleported away to dimensions unknown. In the first issue of MZR, zombie Spider-Man finds himself transported to the Marvel Universe of 30 years ago, when Peter Parker and company were attending college. Trying once again to be a hero, the living dead Spidey finds himself in fierce battle with the Sinister Six. Can he contain his savage hunger? Yeah, right! This one's a hoot, true-believers! Featuring retro art and dialogue with some truly great scenes (guess what happens to this universe's Spider-Man!) and an unforgettable ending! Check it out! Yep, I really had fun with this one!

I just reread the Ultimate Fantastic Four issues that introduced the Marvel Zombies today. Well, the second story arch where the zombie FF escape captivity and plan to bring the Marvel Zombies into the Ultimate universe. It would be great if Greg Land got to paint the zombies again.

Now that Disney owns Marvel, it would also be great if the Marvel Zombies would devour the Mickey Mouse Club. BWAAA HAAAA HAAAA HAAAA!

The early stuff was great but why can't they just leave well enough alone...this is why I don't pick up Marvel comics anymore....:x Milking a dead cow!! :lol:

[The One and Only]

Like the early stuff as well. But episodes three and four of the MARVEL ZOMBIE saga took the zombies to next level in bringing them to the 616 Marvel Universe like many were expecting. Also to top it off writer Fred Van Lente used the event to dust off some of Marvel's other horror characters, Hellstorm, Jennifer Kale, Simon Garth, Morbius, Black Talon, and the Night Shift. Although one story I'd love to see followed up is what happened in the end of the "Frightful" arc of Ultimate Fantastic Four when Ultimate Dr. Doom, with the Great Old One trapped within him. Arrived in the Marvel Zombies' world, and walked in on the zombies feeding on Galactus' carcass. I would've liked to see how Dr. Doom escaped that situation, and got back his world.

That's a great idea since Van Damme shows up in Ultimate Power intact. *chuckles* Perhaps one of the Van Damme's, either the one in the "Frightful" arc or in Ultimate Power was "Ultimate Kristoff."

More along the lines of their sixth series. Don't forget Marvel Zombies VS. Army of Darkness or the one off Dying Days.... But who's really counting?

I myself was disappointed with series 3 and 4. But Marvel Zombies Return has been a return to greatness for me.

However after reading the fourth issue of the new series I think I have a pretty good idea its going to end in something of a full circle. By the end of the next issue I think we'll seeing Sentry being teleported to the Ultimate Universe via the Watcher's gizmo.

Thus starting the cycle all over again from square one.

Bingo. Issue five is out and ended just as I thought it would..... Not a bad return to glory. But it somehow feels like an ending to me.
