Oh, that Fulci.
I gotta go with City of the Living Dead myself. Very atmospheric, spooky, and it (almost) even had a cohesive plot. A number of shocking (maggots!), spooky (crypt!), and, of course, gory (drill!) scenes. Not to mention the zombies, while only being a handful, had some of the best make-up of any zombies I've ever seen. (I made the gif animation in my sig from COTLD : D)

I suppose it has to be Zombi 2 but I have a real fondness for The Beyond.

Had to be boring and go with Zombi 2, although The Beyond and City of the Living Dead are great too. Never thought much of House by the Cemetary, and the less said about Zombi 3 the better!

Zombi 2 all the way.

I'll have to go for Zombi 2 as well. How could you compete with a classic like that?

Gotta say Zombie 2 or Zombie Flesh Eaters as it goes in the UK.:)
House by the Cemetery has always been my favorite

I like it, but it's a little too straight-forward for me. And there's only one zombie.. :-|

I'd like to be different and vote for something else, but it's gotta be Zombi 2.

I agree with darthjoe
asking which fulci zombie movie is best is like asking what feels better being poked in the eye or being kicked in the nuts, it sucks all the way around.
but at least zombi 2 had a few memorable deaths and of course shark vs zombie action so i picked that one.

Well, who couldn't love zombie vs shark?
I must admit to having a real soft spot for City of the Living Dead. Something is just so creepy to me about that film. It's the atmosphere. That said, I think the film also feels a litle messy. Incoherent.
And, when it comes down to it, given the choice between the two, I'll usually end up watching Zombie Flesh Eaters, Zombi 2. Yeah, it's not as inventive but it works and it's got some great moments.
Zombi 3, I'll always remember it fondly. And the longer it has been since I watched it, the more fondly I'll remember it. And then I'll go watch it and realise, yes, it is atrocious.
Still, zombie head, eh? Can't beat it. And he got in much earlier with the zombie baby.

It really is bad. I mean Fulci can be bad enough on his own, but at least he's heads and shoulders better than Bruno Mattei. Still, like you said, that flying zombie head is tooo goddamn cool. I always wonder though how those things propel themselves? :-P

I read that Fulci left Zombie 3 before they were finished shooting handing the reins Bruno Mattei even though he is uncredited.

Well, yes, that was my point. Zombi 3 might not have been as bad if Bruno Mattei weren't involved.

Sorry, i didn't get that. I think it would have been bad anyway, that's probably why Lucio walked out.

I can't help feeling the same thing. It's hard to find a moment in the movie where I think, 'actually, if it had all been like this, it could have been great'.
Still, there's stuff to enjoy about it. Glad I'm not the only one who loves the zombie head
