I recently heard a euro / techno song on internet radio called "Zombie" by Ororo. Anyway after doing research on the song, I found out it was a remake of the song "Zombie" by Cranberries. I saw the music video and was disapointed because there was not a single zombie in the entire music video. So my question is: Is there any music videos out there that have zombies in it? Doesn't matter what "genre" it is. Thanks

Peter

I'd agree with them. Though I think instead of using metal songs use pop songs. In a film servance there is a great bit at the start a man is getting killed and 'summer holiday' by cliff richard is playing. Be pretty funny to have something like a guy shooting at zombies humming 'hit me baby one more time'
or is that just me?

I never heard Ozzy's "Zombie Stomp"... but... if you watch my cheezy namesake movie "The Horror of Party Beach", circa 1964, there's a band playing a song at a beach party, and the song is called "Zombie Stomp". Could it be Ozzy actually stole this song title from this cheezy movie? Food for thought! And yeah, the song's really cheezy, too. But the words are there, darnit LOL

Yes, I know Poison The Well. Seen em three or four times now. Zombies Are Good For Your Health. Not sure if the song has anything to do with it, though.

Unearth - Zombie Autopilot
This Is Hell - Broken Teeth ("we are the walking dead" as the chorus)
Comeback Kid - Wake The Dead
Death - Zombie Ritual
Misfits - Night of the Living Dead (and their video for Scream was directed by Romero... they were featured in his film Bruiser, the zombie video was their payment)

Anything by Send More Paramedics

As much as I hate the bands...

My Chemical Romance - Sunsets Over Monroeville is all about Dawn
Showbread - George Romero Will Be At Our Wedding. Leave it to a Christian scenester band to turn Romero's legacy into a half-assed reference to their personal love for Christ. :x:puke::doh:

There are also three local bands that would fit. While the song wasn't intentionally about zombies, I used the band The Demon Beat (www.myspace.com/thedemonbeat) for part of my indie zombie film. Their song Gates of Hell will be used as the credit intro (as a reference to the film and because the song suits very well in atmosphere... The song was listed as one of the Top 10 Songs of 2007 by the Charleston newspaper).

The band RhinoHelicopter (www.myspace.com/rhinohelicopter), while entirely instrumental, released a zombie-themed LP and were featured in the above filming.

The band Recently Vacated Graves (www.myspace.com/rvgtzm) are ENTIRELY zombie-themed.

I posted this link as its own thread and didn't even realize you all were talking about the same topic. I just recently finished working on a zombie music video and I've been trying to get some feedback from fans of the genre. The band is a SFBayArea local band called Judgement Day. They play death metal on a violin, cello, and drum set. Enjoy!

Alright! Great music, one of the best so far, this was much better than those videos with the guys screaming guttural grunts at the camera you can't understand. Good zombies too.

Awesome thread. Only thing I noticed is the link for Jonathan Coulton's RE: Your Brains video is always the World of Warcraft one. There is a true video for the song you know. You can see the real video Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOlznuyPOeM&feature=related)

Also to breath some new life into this thread is the New Plants VS Zombies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0N1_0SUGlDQ) music video! It's a great song very catchy!

Gotta mention Brain Drill. I love technical grind-death metal.

These songs are about zombies, from their album Apocalyptic Feasting -

Brain Drill - Apocalyptic Feasting (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGsgvFk5XkQ)
Brain Drill - Consumed by the Dead (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBuvyLXyt1o)
Brain Drill - Bury the Living (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMWu7w95sho)

Brutal.
Unfortunately, the "videos" are just static images, since the band doesn't have any real videos.

Post any zombie-related songs you know of and, if possible, the link to listen to them.

Death Breath - "Coffins of the Unembalmed Dead"

The dead will rise
Injections to open up their eyes
So cold
Cannibalism cannot be controlled
Craving flesh
Specimen not decomposed but fresh
From shallow graves
Tomb legions charnel and depraved

The reviving of fresh corpses
Rigor mortis in reverse
Sepulcher violator
Hijacker of the hearse

Coffins of the unembalmed dead

Body minus head
Limbless trunk twitching on a bed
Of stainless steel
At the altar of necromancy I kneel
The dead will walk
Head minus body starts to talk
In the night
Unholy invocations I recite

The reviving of fresh corpses
Rigor mortis in reverse
Sepulcher violator
Hijacker of the hearse

Coffins of the unembalmed dead
