ZombieBC comic - Publicity stunt

Been a while but I need some zombie lovers expert opinion on what I want to do.

I am in the process of making an online comic about Zombies and there is a "Zombie Pub Crawl" coming up in my city soon. Expecting at least 1200 people to show up. I figure this is the best audience to market my zombie comic. It's going to be free to view it. I just want people to see it you know?

Now for the fun part. I want to stage an event where I'm an average joe checking out the zombie pub crawl and going up to a group of zombies and ask them what's going on and suddenly have a zombie/friend of mine come up behind me and take a chunk of flesh from my neck (special effects) then I transform to a zombie and get another friend who's under cover and he does the same thing to a few other undercover friends. Make it look like the zombie infection is spreading fast. I plan to have about 10 plus people in on it while it being filmed. I'm thinking this could get some attention because there will be at least 1000 plus people in a small park prior to the event.

I would like to hear if you think this is a good publicity stunt or if you have some other suggestions I'd love to hear about those as well. Thanks in advance!!!

That sounds like a fun idea! I wish I lived in your city. I would defintely help you with your plan.
This is probably silly, but maybe have a truck pull up with a coffin inside, and the coffin lid starts to raise, and a zombie starts to climb out. People get out of the truck, and struggle to try pushing the zombie back into the coffin and start yelling "Grandpa! Get back in there! You said you'd never drink another drop of alcohol. I don't care if you're dead!"

Maybe the driver of the truck gets bit by grandpa.:clap:

I like your idea, but I don't have access to a coffin. I want this to start and finish with in 2 minutes. I'll make sure the video makes it's way here shortly after it's filmed.

Fully aware of getting fined/arrested for starting a riot. I plan on running away with my crew when it's done. Not that it will do much good since it's going to be on Utube. I want to keep it short and sweet so nobody gets hurt. I thought about calling the city and asking them if this would be ok, but I'm sure they are going to tell me I need some permit and will want personal information about me.
