Hey you crazy zombie kids,

How many of you have looked at the Zombie Movie Encyclopedia, wanted it, but couldn't get it because it cost too damn much? How many of you have thought "Well, I'll get it when the less costly paperback version comes out"? Well, if you're waiting for that, you'd have to wait a long time.

The publisher (McFarland & Company) is primarily an academic publisher, who deals many with libraries and such like that. They don't fully understand that this edition is needed. I'd like to start a sort of letter writing campaign to encourage them to release a paperback copy of this book, so that it can get out to more people who need it, people like you.

It would be really swell of you to take a moment and email McFarland, asking if and when they would release a paperback edition of the Zombie Movie Encyclopedia by Peter Dendle. You can even go so far as to say that you've looked at it and considered buying it, but the cost of the hardcover was just too much for you, and you've been waiting for this.

For those of you who'd like to help out, here is the email address:

info@mcfarlandpub.com (info@mcfarlandpub.com)

Thanks so much everyone!

It's easier if you get a free copy. But then you got to have "connections"

 LRM, I don't know what the hell you're talking about.

 Heh...

Oh, come on, people. Does no one else here want to have the ZME available in a nice, cheap softcover edition?

I emailed them.
Not everyone can have the pleasure of meeting Zombie A Go Go in person and getting an autographed copy of this fine book. :)
If you want Go go, I'll post this on a couple other boards for you.

LRM, you're the bees' knees! Thanks so much! I've posted this on several boards, but if you post it on more, that'd be swell! It'd be so great to have this happen. Not a lot of money is made off this book, so it's not about that. Peter really just wants more people to have it, and this is one way of doing that.
Thanks again! :)

I ponied up the cash and wasn't disappointed (it is the best book on the genre available) so think about asking Santa for it (or Zombie Santa anyway).

Another alternative is to speak to the nice people at your local library. They usually have a way to recommend a book for purchasing and they will check their various librarian magazines and if it is a good one they will bu it (I actually had them buy books I was ordering via interlibrary loan without being asked - which is also another good alternative if you want a taste). You can then check it out and keep renewing it forever (or at least until someone else books it).

It does deserve to be in every library in the land!!
