I watched The Howling the other night & although the effects for the time are awesome i have to say the part that was pretty hilarious was when the couple are having sex & change into werewolfs. It's really cool til the end of the scene when the camera pulls away & it's so obviously a cartoon howling to the moon. there is actually more cartoon work in Children of the Corn.

I actually love effects in earlier films more than CGI, here are my faves.

1. Day of the Dead - Autopsy room(Tom Savini at his best)
2. Creepshow 2 - The Raft.
3.Chopping Mall - Head Explosion.
4.Zombie Flesh Eaters(Zombi 2) - Eye Splinter.
5.Dawn of the Dead - Zombies head getting chopped of by a helicopter blade.
