View Full Version : My Bloody Valentine - 2009
I just got the new dvd of the remake of My Bloody Valentine 3D/2D flip dvd set and watched it Monday night.
I was really impressed with the film and all the great kills in it. The acting and characters in it weren't too bad at all.
I still think that the original 1980 film is the best of the 2 but I do like the remake alot.
The film stars Kerr Smith(from The Forsaken), Jensen Ackles(from tv's Supernatural), Jaime King(from The Tripper), Tom Atkins(from Halloween 3), etc...... And there is a one hot looking blonded actress getting boinked in a motel room in it.
I actually liked watching the regular 2D instead of the 3D version. I guess cause I hate wearing 3D glasses.
Anyway, the film is pretty cool and has lots of kills in it and there good and gory too.

i really thought it was a pile of :poo:
bored me silly, wasn't impressed with any of the kills apart from the midget, but apart from that i'd only give it a 1/10

I got invited to see this, then i didn't go when they told me the cinema wasn't playing in 3D, lost its novelty then.
I might hire the original though.

what did i miss in this film?
i hated it, no suspense no build up nothing
the storyline was terrible knew the 'twist' within 5 mins of the film starting
different strokes for different folks i suppose

i saw it in the theater..was fun in 3D, gotta love the classic eyeball blasting in your face in 3D. but i suspect in 2d i would have been bored..not by the gore which was heavy.Just by the story.i have a soft spot for the my bloody valentine films so i went to see it, cus i love the band, who admit they named themselves after the film. Which impresses me deeply.I normally dont like slasher films..i prefer my onscreen horror to be monsters not real people..if i want that i can watch the news.... needless to say in hate the recent "torture-porn" trend (saw,hostel..etc)with a deep passion.I just like my monsters to be monsters! not just people..its to close to reality for me.
