Eden Lake - 2008

[RIP]

I watched Eden Lake for the 1st time last night and really enjoyed this 2008 UK film. It was 1000 times better than the film called Them(aka Ills).

I felt sorry for the couple in Eden Lake like I did in the film The Strangers.

The thug kids in this film were ruthless and torutred this poor couple. I personally would have beaten the living shit out of them if they tried they crap with me lol but it's only a movie so I know.

I didn't like the ending to it with the parents of the kids taking her into the bathroom to kill her just cause she killed a couple of the thug kids that tortured her and her fiancee and killed him and the other innocent kid in the film. She was just trying to survive and these redneck parents were just covering it up for them.

Still, a cool flick though and brutal stabbing scenes.

I was surprised at just how bleak this movie was. I don't know if it could even be called entertaining. What made it worse for me was 2 days before I had the dis-pleasure of watching a real life snuff/crime video made by some young Ukranian low lifes that filmed themselves killing innocent people.
The scene in Eden Lake in the woods where the kids film themselves killing another kid was a bit too real. All I could think of was that ****ing real crime video.
But Eden Lake is well made, although the entire situation could have been avoided if they simply left.

was a good film though well worth a watch
