I was watching Terminator and I figured there'd be some sort of reference back to it that I'd notice from having seen Planet Terror a good many times (one of my favorites, and when friends come over and want to see a movie they haven't seen that they'll actually enjoy, I tend to skip over a lot of the weirder, older stuff and go for this the first time around). Both feature Michael Beihn as a lead character, and I know how Rodriguez and Tarantino like to make references to other films within a similar genre, so I figured there'd be one.
I think I found it. The sex scene in Planet Terror, short of the wooden leg, even down to the theme song being slowed down and played on piano and the timing and pace, and ending on a slowly unfocusing shot, are the same. Anyone else notice this?
