Phantasm films

I have all of the Phantasm series films either on dvd or vhs. I love the first 2 films and part 3 was just so-so but part 4 was like wtf and left you hanging at the end cause part 5 never came along lol.

The Tall Man is getting "old" and has to be in his late 80's now so wassup.....if they are gonna make a conclusion to the series they better hurry up cause his wheelchair will need some oil on it soon or he may croak too lol.

Anyway, the original film was the best and I must say that Reggie Bannister is one bad ass bald guy with a ponytail and a double barrell shotgun.:drinking:

I had read somewhere that Phantasm 5 was pretty much dead (so to speak) and there was rumors of a remake.

I remember seeing this movie a LONG time ago, and all I remember was yellow blood and a huge bug in a box. It was one of the creepiest movies I've seen, and I want to see it again.

I've always been annoyed, I could never find all of them at the same video store. A store would have installment 2 and 4. Another just 2, and so on. Never could get all the movies at one time in order to watch them all together. :doh:

2 is my fav - I don't know if that's because I remember it from my youth, but it was cool as hell. And I laughed my arse off when Liz was in the mortuary and the midget runs around the corner after her, only to get wholloped by Liz and an urn and go flying across the hallway.

But it's still not available on DVD here. I've been watching a VHS copy I recorded off TV back in the early 90's.

I remember being freaked out for a week after watching the Phantasm for the first time. Now, it's the episode in the series I've least watched. :(
Number 2 and 3 were ok and 4 made me confused. I haven't seen any of these in forever.

I just bought a used dvd of the 1st one, they also had the 3rd but not the others so i know how you feel.:)

Yeah, me either.. I recently watched the first two for the first time (rented on Netflix). If I were 12 they'd be awesome! But as it was, they just seemed confusing and weird-for-weirdness-sake.. As if the actual story was the last thing they cared about.

It wasn't as cool as i thought it would. I did like it & it had atmosphere but the should have had the ball in it more it was awesome.

CHILLER channel just had all 4 back to back and I DVRed all of them (edited though, naked girl had no nipples! :loon: )
what a WTF series, those guys HAD to be stoned while writing it. Two continuity errors to look for if you have the time and the tapes/DVDs to watch. Movie 2, Reg runs out of ammo and throws AWAY his kick-ass QUADRUPLE barrel shotgun in the basement of a mortuarty. At the end of the movie they esape in a hearse, but he gets thrown out of the hearse.

Cut to beginning of Movie 3 We see hearse drive down the road and crash, Reg runs down the road and find where Mike has been thrown out of the hearse , knocked out. THe evil dwarves are approaching, THERE by Mikes body, Reg finds and picks up his FULLY loaded QUADRUPLE barrel shotgun !

Also, in one movie , there was a wreck that totally destroyed their cool black muscle car. Its gas tank was ruptured, and gas ran to a fire down the road and they barely got out before it exploded. They then had to proceed on foot to the tall Mans lair to fight him. Next couple of movies ? They are traveling the country hunting the Tall Man in that VERY SAME car ?!?

This movie should be a drinking game for all the WTF moments. :loon:

But I still like them though :)

Love Phantasm parts 1 & 2, the rest are OK. The Tallman was awesome
