I was recently reading about the Scream films & it reminded me of how good the first one was so i picked it up real cheap. Watched it last night & was amazed at how much a good cast it was. I remembered that Courtney Cox & her husband were in it & Neve Campbell but had forgotten that Henry "the fonz" Winkler, Matthew "Shaggy" Lillard & Linda Blair were in it. The one that surprised me was the character Tatum Riley who was Sydney's friend played by Rose McGowan, through out the film i couldn't place her til i saw the name at the end, she looked so different to her character in Planet Terror.

At the time they came out i was not as taken with the sequels but i am intrigued to learn that there is a possibility of Scream 4 & that it would be with Wes & the original writer.:)

Yeah, the Scream films were a great horror/satire series. While the 2nd and 3rd movies weren't as great as the first, they all had a good storyline with gory deaths. It's a shame that more films don't have that kind of spark anymore.

I think the first one was the best. Although the second did shine in parts. The third one... I didn't really like. Having said that, if there was ever going to be a Scream 4, I'd be the first one in line to go see it :)

I'm a huge slasher movie fan and Scream back in 1996 brought back the great feeling of the early 80's slasher films and had a great cast in it and I loved the ghostface mask used in it.

I have all 3 films of the series on dvds and really do enjoy them. I liked Scream 2 and it was filmed here in my state at an all girls college Agnes College up in Atlanta, Georgia.

Part 3 was the weakest of the series but I liked the ending to it.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Scream 4 if if went back to the original feeling that the first film had. I think that the series needs a new approach with just Wes Craven as a producer but have a new face to it at director like someone like Alexander Aja who directed High Tension and Hills Have Eyes remake.

I totally agree. The first 20 mins was f**king awesome, when i originally saw it i did not expect a big star like Drew Barrymore to bite it.

I could never get into these movies. I watched maybe 15-20 minutes of the first one before turning it off! I have never been a big fan of spoofs.

It's not really a spoof though, not like Scary Movie & the like.

My bad, I mean satire/comedy types. Scary Movie...:puke:...I wouldn't even waste my time with! The only horror/comedy movies I can tolerate are in the zombie genre!

I saw that one a few weeks ago on Netflix instant. It was pretty good--especially since it was free! I just received My Boyfrined's Back yesterday from Netflix. I hope it's a decent watch!

I'd like to see a 4th one... Scream 3 was pretty disappointing to me. The first is a classic though, and I love the sequel too.
