The other day we had the opportunity to sit and chat with director Alex Aja (High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes) at his LA editing bay while he finishes up work on his latest feature, Mirrors. I totally forgot about this movie.. I'll see it if I have the time and money. I've liked Aja's movies so far.. pretty great actually. and piranha was a fun dumb movie.. can only improve

Elisabeth Shue to Star in 'Piranha' Remake?

I hope Elisabeth Shue shows her boobs or at least a nip slip in the remake lol.:evil:

I have the original film on dvd and the sequel Piranha 2: the Spawning on dvd too and their not that bad of films actually.

Corny? Yeah, there was plenty of cheese in the original film but I liked it and the scene where the fish attacks all the kids and counselors in the lake lol.:lol:

Wasn't Piranha already remade before? I remember there were 2 versions of the film that were pretty identical, and that one of them had Mila Kunis from That 70's Show when she was a kid. I like the idea of a 3-D remake of this movie, but I think it's just a little too soon.

Yes, they came out with a made-for-TV remake back in 1995. It also had Soleil Moon Frye (aka Punky Brewster) playing in it. :lol:
