Mine was Roger, to bad he got bit and peter had to take him out, Roger getting taking out to early on is the only thing I can complain about in Dawn of the Dead 1978. Roger should of got killed by the bikers when they raided the mall. But how can you complain about perfection.

Did you know they used the same meaty parts on the dissected zombie on Dr Frankenstien's table, Miguel, and when they tore Cpt Rhodes apart? It got pretty rank by the time it got to Cpt Rhodes shot, you can see it on his face durning that scene. Doesnt it look like the zombies pull a chicken out of Cpt Rhodes stomach?:puke:

Yeah, I saw the great documentary on the 2 disc dvd of it and Joe Pilato talking about the rank smell it had and then it showed a clip of them shooting that scene and then after it it showed all the zombies around him trying to fan the smell away from his face and then he hurled lol.:puke::lol:

I voted Peter, of course, because he was such an awesome character. Roger was also pretty cool. But, without Peter, Roger would not have lasted as long as he did in the outbreak stage of the film. Roger was losing it. Peter always kept his cool and stayed chilled out. Well, he almost offed himself near the end of the film, but even then he gathered himself back up and remained a survivor. He knew that Fran could not make it without him. Peter just had all the right stuff, including Ken Foree as the actor that played him. Ken Foree is a cool dude.

Two big mistakes that Peter made, he should of never went back so Roger could get the bag out of the truck, and trying to close all the stores up when the bikers were about to break in the mall. :loon: sorry I love Dawn of the Dead so much I love to talk about everything in the movie:lol:

I thought DotD 78 did a fantastic job showing the human condition during a ZPAW. From Wooley going ape-shit to Peter shooting him to Fran telling Steven that she wouldn't marry him...what an awesome story and perfectly told....:drinking:

Foree's IMDb page describes him as "large, likable and muscular actor Ken Foree was born as Kentotis Alvin Foree..." So, I think, based on how they portrayed Peter in Dawn of the Dead, that Peter would kick Steele's ass.

In a boxing match, I'd have to put my money on Peter. He looked to be in shape and had the reach. In a REAL fight, Steele would own him. In a fight today, in the real world between Ken Foree and Gary Howard Klar, I think it would be a coin toss. Ken's put on some size, a little in the gut, but a lot seems in the chest, arms and shoulders. On the Day of the Dead commentary they said Gary played pro football, so he had to be in good shape at one point and pretty tough, but could have nagging injuries. They're both probably the same age.

BUT AS TO THE TOPIC! I'd have to pick Fran. She wasn't the toughest or coolest, but she made the biggest transformation, from a cowering little stereotypical helpless girl; to a smart, tough, fighting woman. She went on the roof to take pot shots at zombies to improve her skill while Peter and Roger were rounding up trucks and was the only one that wanted to learn how to operate the helicopter.
