Both she and BZN do a phenomenal job...and have for a long time. They deserve a lot of credit and I'm very thankful to have them here. This place would be in shambles without them! :drinking:

me too, admin isn't really my thing, but modding is a necessary evil that you do to take your turn at civic service as it were. you should do it if asked and after you take your turn you should step down and make somebody else do it for a term.

IMHO that's the way to go so you can do your duty and help support a place you like to frequent and still maintain your perspective and ability to come in and enjoy the place!

That system would eventually turn into a disaster. Simply put. Not everyone is cut to be a Moderator. A lot of people jump up to raise their hands, and shout "Oooh! me! me! me! I want to be a moderator!" But once they get the job, they quickly discover after some time has past, that they are in for a lot more than they bargained for. Another problem is that everyone has different ideas on how they want to steer the ship. It's not easy to train people to become good Mods. Some people never pick up the subtleties of being an moderator, and as a result they constantly make one bad decision after another. :2cents:

That's not a bad idea but the way I would do it is to rotate amongst the site's staff members. That's if we had any. :)

Mod'ing is answering questions, keeping conversations on track, limiting trolling and flaming, and whack'n people on the hiney when necessary.
Good mods are great, bad ones are poison. Darkness is a good mod.

Admin is the wrench turning. All the work, none of the fun.

Obviously, these jobs can blend. In my case, they did (do) not.

The biggest factor is the forum users. For a bunch of zombie fans, this one is chock full of reasonable peeps.
