Above and below are two production stills from Noboru Iguchi (http://www.noboruiguchi.com/)'s RoboGeisha (Robo-geisha) (http://www.robogeisha.info/), which I first posted about here (http://www.allthingszombie.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14637) on All Things Zombie back on February 5th. The movie is scheduled to start shooting on Monday.

Iguchi's previous directing credits include the short "Shyness Machine Girl" ("The hajirai machine girl"), The Machine Girl (Kataude mashin gâru), Cat-Eyed Boy (Nekome kozô), Manji, Sukeban Boy (Oira sukeban), Snake Girl (Madara no shôjo), Saishû seiki! Natsume Nana - kyûkyoku no erosu, Impolite Education (18-kin - abunai kankei: the kinshinsôkan), the short "Evil Guy" ("Yôchû no harawata"), and A Larva to Love (Koi suru yôchû).

Of course, that RoboGeisha was to have its world première at the festival was no surprise to those who read my September 23rd message revealing this!

BTW, I was recently reminded of the following refreshingly candid profile of Noboru Iguchi (http://www.noboruiguchi.com/) that I read on the website of the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival (http://yubarifanta.com/) (Yûbari Kokusai Fantasutikku Eigasai) back in 2005 (see here (http://yubarifanta.com/2005/views.php?id=127&langue=21002)): "Born in Tokyo in 1969. His 8mm film 'Wabisyabi' as he was at high school, won a IFF praise. 'Kurushime san' made him popular. A love story film 'A Larva to Love' of which theme was trauma, was a smash hit. And he is be around as a unique actor on a stage and the film 'Koi no Mon', and also directs Scatological AVs [emphasis added]."
