This is my 2nd all time fave John Carpenter film.

I love this movie and everything about it. The musical score in it was creepy and composed by JC himself. The actors in it were great like Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Atkins, Janet Leigh, Nancy Loomis, etc....

The ghosts of Blake and his dead sea crew with awesome and the kills in it were good too especially the ones on the ship.

The remake blew out the ass though but the 1980 original is a classic and must own dvd for everyone in their movie collection.

Here's the main theme song from the 1980 film:

The Fog is great. I have 2 disc special edition. The remake did suck big time, i was buying films in a deal once before i had my 2 disc edition & picked that up thinking it was the original, once outside i noticed it was the new one & took it straight back & swapped it.:poo:

Haha, it sure is nice to know that I'm not the only one who thought the remake was a piece of garbage. It's predecessor is one of my favorite John Carpenter films, also, though.

For anyone interested, probably my favorite band, the Vision Bleak, did a 5+ minute cover of the films score titled "Elizabeth Dane" on their first album. I definitely don't think it would be a misuse of the word to call it epic!

Yeah, I really enjoy Type O's Wolf Moon, also. Both great bands, in my opinion! I'm glad you liked Elizabeth Dane, though.

I hate that they did such a crappy remake to this... the original is perfect.
