*CONTAINS SPOILERS*
I watched Lucio Fulci's City of the Living Dead for the 2nd time last night & there are quite a few gross out parts such as a maggot storm & worms getting mushed into peoples faces:puke: but for me the most gut wrenching scene is when a girl pukes up her innards:puke:, i remember this from the 1st time & it's probably the grossest thing i have seen in a horror film. Out of the horror films you have seen what grossed you out or sticks in youir mind?

Faces Of Death. first time I saw it when I was 5 made me so sick feeling but I love it so much altime fav movie:)
The Exorcist - when Reagan pukes up the green pea soup on the priest
Movie gore does not gross me out at all because I know its fake.
Real gore on the other hand...
I spent some time on this forum called "Ogrish" which featured uncensored footage from war, crimes, accidents, suicides, etc.
The thing that stands out in my mind the most was a video of two modern Neo-Nazis beheading a man in the woods. It quite shocking to see a life taken away in such a brutal manner.
I quit the forum when I realized that the majority of its members were hostile, psychotic gun freaks. Some called people who went on murderous rampages in schools "heroes." One guy posted that he's gonna jump off a bridge to kill himself, some people encouraged him, some tried to talk sense to him. I never read a post form him again...
That was probably the darkest time of my life.

I don't get grossed out by movies. Being a special FX tech and makeup and costume designer for a haunted house, I know how they do a lot of that stuff.
But one thing in a movie did make me squirm more than anything else. It wasn't gross, just super painful.
It was one of the Urban Legends movies. This girl got kidnapped and the guy cut something out of her side. He sewed her back up and she woke up in the bath tub full of ice. That's not what grossed me out though. The gross part was when she woke up, and tried to escape out the window. The guy caught her when she was half way out the bathroom window, and grabbed her freshly stitched side and ripped the stitches out. His fingers just dug into her side and ripped her apart. I swear I could feel every stitch tear on my side.
That and the first time I saw Baby scalp that guy in House of a Thousand Corpses. But that doesn't bug me anymore.

The only thing I can think of that made my stomach turn was in Automation Transfusion When that one zombie ripped the fetus out of a pregnant woman, and then ate it in front of her!
Well that, and in Village of the Damned when that one kid mind-forced it's Mother to shove her arm in boiling water.
Anthropophagus(aka the Grim Reaper) - 1980 : the killer tears out a baby from the preggo woman's vagina and then eats it in front of her and then chops off her head.:puke:

Thats the way to describe how Nick Cannon disgraced the Role of Salazar, in the Day of the Dead remake.

The only things which utterly freak me out in films is things to do with eyes. I can't watch something happening to eyes and even the thought of it now makes me feel A LITTLE BIT SICK.
I was watching Kill Bill 2 the other night, with the guy I've been seeing for around a month, I'd told him about my eye fears, and he goes *no kim there's nothing to do with eyes in this*
**** me, the nurse woman gets her eye RIPPED OUT! I burst into tears AND sobered up from the epic amounts of wine I'd consumed. Not good.
And what a good impression I must of made on him haha.

Movie gore has never really bothered me. Neither has the footage of real crimes, accidents, and suicides. I just didn't like the killing of the turtle in Cannibal Holocaust. Plus, there is a site called meat.org and it shows what the animals go through at the meat companies. It's pretty bad. Then I saw some video of all these asians catching dogs and cats and just being really brutal with them. This one lady stepped on a kittens eyes with high heels on.

I'm with you. I can watch most anything, but anything done to someones eyes and I get squeamish.
The only other thing that made me sick was old footage of the cleanup of Nazi concentration camps after WWII.

I can only think of one thing that really bothered me in a movie...it was in the Hannibal movie I think--when A. Hopkins removes the top of R. Liotta's skull and slices off a piece of brain to snack on. It actually made me light-headed and queasy.
Real violence is a different story--a lot of things that are real turn my stomach!

generally movies don't gross me out, i'm always amazed at the makeup work that gets put into these films.
the only movie that stands out in my mind as something i would not watch again was a snuff movie back in the 80's. it (and many) was a low budget film with pretty girls...sad sad stuff.
i've been grossed out in real though a few times...one time when i was in grade school (12 or so) i saw a kid rip the top layer of his tongue off on a frozen steel fence pole, i ate lightly that night :scare:

I work at an animal hospital and real life gore is something I see a lot of. The worst of it has to be when an animal is torn up by another, larger animal. Hit by cars can also be very bad. The part that is hardest for me though is that owners often wait until the next day to bring them in for treatment! Can you imagine the pain that animal suffers through the night! The thought of that turns my stomach!!

That is quite brutal. Here's some films to avoid:
Dead & Buried
Fire in the Sky
Zombie Flesh Eaters(aka Zombie 2)
Friday the 13th part 3
Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave(some would say avoid this anyway but not cause of the eye thing.)

bugs, especially big,big roaches! remember the Indian Jones scene in India when Indie is trapped inside a room and the walls were closing and was yelling thru a hole in the wall at the girl to look for a lever? and the lever was inside a hole and was covered, literally covered in yucky disgusting bugs of all kinds and sizes? I told my friends in the theater with me "If that was me, and that was you guys in there? I'd say 'Sorry, there isn't one!' " :puke:

Anything that involves something that could happen. I know somebody could get their head torn off by a runaway steel girder, but I imagine the chances of me seeing it are pretty slim. But cut someone's eye out with an razor blade or peel off skin...ugh!!!!

animal cruelty ive only seen a dog get hit twice. first time i puched the kid in the back of the head. the second time it was a 250 pound guy back when i was only about 180 and most of that was fat, if i saw the same thing happen again i would jump on his back a choke him out. (things that dont count to this rule is big snakes, rats, fish, and bugs
other thing is anything is thing to do with feet. i cant stand to see feet (makes me mad when guys were flip flops). in a movie where someone hurts there feet and needs to keep going i say "if i was them i would just stand there and fight to the death.".

I have seen dead people in various stages of decay. I've seen decapitated people from car crashes, all manner of stab and gunshot wounds, and even a person who had half his head vaporized by a shotgun. None of that bothers me.
That said.....
My wife watches "Sex in the City" all the time. Anytime I see the red-headed woman make-out or kiss someone I get ill. That's one ugly lady.

I've done numerous dissections, including one where I retrieved the brain of a pig from its skull for extra credit. Didn't bother me one bit to mutilate that thing in all sorts of ways. I never really get grossed out by anything I do or see on tv or whatever. But If I see someone hurt themselves in person, like I saw someone cut themselves on purpose, and I pretty much got a shiver down my neck. Thats about the only thing.

I watched an episode of Taboo on the National Geographic Channel in which his Christian sect in the Phillipines were convincing children to crunch up shards of broken glass and eat mercury from the same bulbs in order to prove their committment to God. The moron who had orchestrated this, who had convinced his 10-year old niece to eat mercury as well, had severe facial ticks, probably from the poison affecting his nervous system. This turned my stomach.
Anytime I hear some schmuck rant about how we are totally vindicated in bombing hospitals and schools and civilian population centers overseas, my stomach turns. How dare you have the audacity to complain about gas prices when their are fathers in Somalia who are held at gun point while their militia rapes their daughters in front of their eyes! How dare you lament about the lack of variety at PF Chang's when there are women and children with distended bellies and eyes sunken into their cheeks because they haven't eaten for days, maybe weeks! And how dare you justify killing innocents and then go home, kick off your shoes, and chuckle while you watch reports of civilian casualties in Iraq!
Oh, and Courtney Love. She totally turns my stomach.

The thing that really makes my stomach turn is seeing films where people vomit. I just recently saw Trick R' Treat and there is a scene early on where a kid vomits. I can stand the rest of the film and all other gore and guts horror and action films, but vomit makes me sick.

Two things that gross me out that I can remember off the top of my head is in Land of the Dead when their on the bridge shooting the fireworks off and Zombies are spawning Dead Reckoning (armored Vehical) one zombie puts his hands on the vehical and you can see his fingernails fold back.
Another is in hostel where the ladies eye was hanging out of her head and the guy cut it with scissors, then that white slime came out, that turned my stoumach.
Other than that any bone breaking soundeffect get to me aswell.
The only thing I can think of that made my stomach turn was in Automation Transfusion When that one zombie ripped the fetus out of a pregnant woman, and then ate it in front of her!

As for movie gore, it doesn't bother me. The one thing that really makes me sick is the smell of vomit. That smell hits me and I am ready to puke! :puke:
it was kinky but i didnt get sick from it i mean almost nothing makes me sick even vomit, its funny the whoal chain reaction thing when one person pukes then everyone else that sees it does like in the sandlot lol. it made me laugh along with saw and hostel its so ****ing stupid, why would you get sick over gore or vomit, its not like its not already inside you ( Alien is an example)
Real gore doesnt even scare me either, i was on a ride along with my cop brother when he got a call to check out a horid smell comming from a barn next door to the callers house, when we went in there was blood everywhere because someone killed themselves with a chainsaw, gore slicked the floor and crows had gotten in through the window and had been pecking at the bodies. lol it was insane
