I was curious if anyone knew if there was a reason why Karen Cooper from the 1968 Night of the Living Dead was renamed Sarah Cooper in the 1990 Night of the Living Dead.
The 1990 remake seems to be the only version of anything NOTLD from comics, to novel, to... which features this name change. Other name changes are simply spelling things Barbra to Barbara Johnny to Johnnie and so on in that manner.
Still Sarah and Karen are completely different names.
Does anyone know the reason behind this change?
