The Intruder Within was a made for tv movie that came out in 1981 and stars Chad Everett(from Airplane 2) and Jennifer Warren(from Mutant).
It's about an oil rig near the south pole that is digging for oil of course lol when they dig too deep it unearths a alien life form that comes on board the rig and starts killing people off.
This film is like the Alien in the Alien film series except on an oil rig.
I got this used recently on vhs from amazon.com. I give the film a 2.5 out of 5 rating.
