If you have the channel T-South or TBS then you might have seen this corny 70's film on there late at night called Squirm.

It's about killer worms in the state of Georgia lol that a lightning storm electrocutes the ground and causes the worms to attack people lol.

The film stars Don Scardino(from He Knows You're Alone) and was directed by Jeff Lieberman who directed such films as Just Before Dawn and Satan's Little Helper.

I didn't know that there was a novelization of the film.

I actually had no idea about this, either.

Squirm is a film that I have a real soft spot for, though. I remember watching it while home alone and in the dark when I was only 9 or 10 and it scared the hell out of me, haha.

It was recently on television here and it really brought me back. I couldn't resist taping myself a copy!

Yeah, I've really got to set myself up an account with Amazon one of these days. I have to be cautious with that, though, 'cause I'de go broke in a damn hurry, haha.

I've only seen this movie once, when it came out. I was 10 at the time, and have never forgotten it.

"Great old movie, I've watched it a few times." :)

"By the way, Rip, it was a power line, blown down in a thunder storm that riled up the killer worms." ;-)

Yeah, I forgot about that. The last 15 minutes of the film are pretty good with all the worms in the house and stuff and the couple trying to escape. It kinda reminded me of Arachniphobia when the family is in the house trying to escape towards the end with all the spiders in the house.

Did you know Don Scardino replaced Martin Sheen in "SQUIRM". Sheen was too difficult for the director to work with.

Sounds a bit like the 1987 film Slugs which was adapted from a Shaun Hutson book but with worms instead of slugs.
