This is actually oscar winner Tom Hanks first feature film ever before he was even in the tv series Bossom Buddies. This is a cool flick and yet's not gory like I usually like my slasher films but the music in it was alot like Halloween and maybe that's why I was always fond of it but over many viewings this film is a guilty pleasure movie of mine.
The film is about a serial killer who is slaughtering off soon brides to be cause he got dumped at the altar years before and it messed him up. The film has like maybe 6-7 kills in it but the best scene is the girl's head in the aquaruim lol.
Still I like the characters in the flick and the plot for it. It was made for $300,000 in 1980 and I am getting these quotes from the book "Going to Pieces:rise and fall of the slasher films 1978 to 1986" by Adam Rockoff. And it was shot in 35mm film which was great for that price back then. The film was then sold to MGM before the theatrical presentation for $2,000,000 and it grossed from what this book says to over $5,000,000 in 1980 which was pretty good back then.
