I'm part irish lol and haven't seen too many good irish films either. The Eternal starring Christopher Walken from the 90's was an alright flick though.

I definately have to pick the U.S.A., but the United Kingdom and Asia come at a close 2nd & 3rd. We have Jason, Freddy, Chucky, Pinhead, Dawn of the Dead and dozens of other great horror icons!

US makes the best. I think a big part in that is we make so many damn horror flicks that there has to be good ones. Other countries quantities (ha) arent near our amount.
next for me would be England

For some reason I've voted for the UK. Probably some sort of patriotism hidden deep inside me made me do it.
Anyway, I do agree, it's probably the amount of movies that the US produces that ensures that there are always going to be good ones. Having said that, you're going to get a bucketload of shit ones as well.
Shaun of the Dead was a good movie... wasn't it?
Here's a great list of the other Brit horror flicks that people might have forgotten about; http://www.britishhorrorfilms.co.uk/films.shtml

This is really a pointless discussion topic. The US has an overwhelming advantage in this market, so why bother rubbing it in? If you wish to debate who's the best in the horror movie business after the US, that might make for a more interesting debate.
