I love the music in alot of slasher films and basic horror films.

Here's some of my faves:

Halloween - main theme song composed by John Carpenter.
Suspiria - main theme song by Goblin and I have the cd to it.
Final Exam - 1981 slasher film which is a ripoff of Halloween theme but it's cool.
Offerings - late 80's slasher that has a Halloween theme to it also.
The Amityville Horror - creepy music in the original 1979 film.
The Exorcist - tubular bells
The House on Sorority Row - creepy music
The Fog - excellent score by John Carpenter

So what are some of your fave music in horror films?

I like the 80s music throughout The Return of the Living Dead & the 50s stuff in Christine. As far as creepy music in films i never really thought about it much, often it's part of what makes a movie cool. I know that i hate that cheesy:poo: that plays when the zombies are on screen in Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town.:x

A Blade in the Dark - cool music in this flick

Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells from The Exorcist was excellent. I also liked the soundtrack for Phantasm. I really enjoy the soundtrack to Dawn of the Dead (1978) as well. There is a track called Zombi: The Living Dead Voices that I really love to listen to. It's creepy. I swear it almost sounds like the zombies are talking through the moaning and vocal sounds that they make. The music from The Shining (the original film, not the TV adaptation) is cool.

I would say that the best horror movie soundtracks would be the 28 Days Later Soundtrack (especially the track "In A Heartbeat", which played when Jim had his revenge with releasing the infected soldier & saving Selena), and the soundtrack to Maximum Overdrive, which was also AC/DC's album "Who Made Who". I also liked the soundtrack to Freddy vs Jason.

28 Days Later is cool. I also like the 28 Weeks Later soundtrack. I especially like "Don Abandons Alice" from the opening of the film.

"My favorite, to date, has to be the music, and songs, from Sweeney Todd, with Johnny Depp." :)

Goblin makes the best music for horror movies hands down.

That is a great song, It's is in the second film too, if it is the one you are talking about.
