View Full Version : Zombie 3, 4, 5, 6 series films
I did a search on this and found a thread on it but it was closed and hadn't been posted on since 2005 so I'm starting a new one but if there is another thread on it that I didn't see then please close this one BZN.
I own all the Zombie films from Zombie(aka Zombi 2) through Zombie 6 on dvd.
Zombie - great film by Lucio Fulci as you all know about especially with the zombie vs shark scene and the eye gouging scene.
Zombie 3 - wasn't great but wasn't too bad. The flying zombie head in it was hilarious.
Zombie 4: After Death - I hate this film and it was so stupid with the voodoo crap at the beginning in the swamps and the zombie makeup was terrible.
Zombie 5: Killing Birds - I use to hate this film but it's okay with some beers in ya lol.
Zombie 6: Monster Hunter(aka Absurd....aka Anthropophagus 2) - it stars Edmund Purdom(from Pieces and Don't Open til X-mas) and George Eastman and has some decent kills in this flick. It's not a zombie film imho though.

Doesn't Zombi 5 actually have a fairly decent cast...? I'm sure I heard somewhere that Robert Vaughn was in it! :loon:

I'm sorry but this zombie series for me is just god awful. Outside of a few scenes like the shark vs zombie attack these movies just suck. I have no idea why Fulci is held in such high regard, no idea at all....
Compare them to what Romero did during the same period and these movies are laughable. They are not even close. Horrible acting, terrible story telling and scripts with mediocre attempts at gore with the use of shock.

Fulci's Zombie is one of my favorites.
Zombie 3 was watchable but not much more.
I know I saw 4,5, and 6 but I remember very little of them.

Yeah, Robert Vaughn was in part 5 as the blind guy in it who murdered his wife and her lover when at the beginning of the film when he returned from Vietnam and then he was blinded when a pack of birds attacked him lol. Vaughn played the character in his older years and there's only like 3 zombies in the film and they are the murdered wife and her lover and some other person lol.

I'm not aware of these... are they part of an American tv series? Or are they films I've never come across? If so, who is the director, or are they all by different people?

They often come under different titles, for instance.
Zombie By Lucio Fulci is also known as Zombie 2 & Zombie Flesh eaters.
Zombi 3 By Lucio Fulci is also known as Zombie Flesh Eaters 2.
The rest are by other Directors & title depends where they are released, the are all european.

they have been released with so many different titles, I have trouble keeping them straight. which one has the plane landing at the beginning, and the 'black oatmeal' makeup zombies run off the plane waving machetes and take over the city? that one has such a WTF?:loon: ending. back when it came out I called one scene in it 'Zombies attack the Solid Gold Dancers!' :)

I just re-watched Burial Ground last night, an extra interview on it said that the creepy kid in the movie had a cult following now because of that movie and has his own website.:loon:

That is the world's creepiest kid, ever! :scare:
Because of child labor laws, the guy that played him was actually an adult.
