View Full Version : Killer clown films
I have always hated clowns for some wierd reason and had some wierd nightmares of them as a kid lol.
Here are some killer clowns films:
Amusement - Just came out on dvd the last 2 months and was a disappointing film imho. I give it a 4.5 rating out of 10.
Camp Blood - terrible clown killer flick from Director Brad Sykes. The characters were awful and the kills were stupid. The lead male actor in it tries to be like Bruce Campbell. I rate it a 2.5 out of 10 rating lol.:puke::poo:
Camp Blood 2 - this one was worst than the first one and has the survivor of the first one in it and has a terrible plot. I give it a 1 out of 10 rating.:poo::poo::puke:
Camp Blood 3: Within the Woods - this was actually the best of the Camp Blood trilogy films but the killer clown's mask was HUGE in it lol. I give it a 3.5 out of 10 rating.
Clownhouse - decent late 80's or early 90's killer clown film directed by Victor Salva who made the Jeepers Creepers films. BTW....Salva was arrested after the filming of it for molesting the little lead actor in the film but besides that the film was a pretty cool one. It has 3 killer clowns in it. I give it a 6 out of 10 rating.
Clown at Midnight - late 80's or early 90's clown slasher film starring Christopher Plummer. I give it a 5 out of 10 rating.
Carnival of Souls(remake) - was a snoozefest of a flick that came out in the 90's. 3 out of 10 rating!
Dead Clowns - saw parts of it before but it was pretty lame.
Drive Thru - 2000's slasher film that wasn't was bad as I thought it would be. I give it a 6 out of 10 rating.
Fear of Clowns - terrible clown slasher film from a few years ago. 1 out of 10 rating!
the Fun Park - lame indie clown killer movie with a father and son team of killer clowns. 3 out of 10 rating!
It - best clown film ever with Tim Curry as Pennywise the killer/spider/clown lol with a great cast in it. Rating 10 out of 10.
House on Sorority Row - cool 80's slasher film with a killer who dresses up in a clown outfit towards the end. Rating 8 out of 10.
Killer Klowns from Outer Space - cool and funny film with killer clowns landing from outer space and taking humans for their meals lol. Rating: 6 out of 10!
S.I.C.K. - aka Serial Insane Clown Killer which is a terrible, terrible film. I give it a 2 out of 10 rating.
Mr. Jingles - sequel to S.I.C.K. and was another stinker. 2 out of 10 rating!

Killer clowns from outer space was the first clown movie other then "IT" from my child hood that gave me nightmares. Being a little kid, watching another little kid almost get loured (I'm positive I spelled that wrong) outside of Mcdonalds by a killer space clown creeped me out the most.
Here's another horror film that involved a clown:
Gacy - movie based on the real life serial killer John Wayne Gacy who murdered over 30 young men and boys and buried them underneath his house in the 70's and 80's. He use to dress up as a clown for children's birthday parties.
Halloween('78 and 2007) - Michael Myers dressed up as a clown as a kid.

Clowns never really scared me into having nightmares. I always just thought of clowns as child molesters because of John Wayne Gacy that you mentioned. I heard about him a long time ago and now every time I see a clown I think of him.

I also forgot to add this AfterDark Fest film:
Dark Ride - this is a pretty cool clown slasher film which came out a couple years ago. I liked the clown mask in it and the plot for it. The characters aren't the best lol and the film could have been gorier but this film was way better than Amusement and The Fun Park. I give Dark Ride a 6 out of 10 rating.

Clowns, urrhh! :scare::scare::scare::scare: Did I mention clowns are HORRIBLE
I tend to avoid all things killer clown or otherwise. But I must admit, I'm with you when you gave It 10/10. Pennywise is definately the best ever horror clown. Urhhh! :scare: ((shudder)) :)

I have never understood the fear of clowns. I don't have a feeling for them one way or another. The only clown movies I have seen are "It" and "Dark Ride". I don't find clowns scary, so I usually don't watch horror movies with them in it. "It" was a good movie, but the book was much better!! Dark Ride was stupid. (Sorry RIP ) I turned it off the first time about half way through, which I rarely do. I watched the rest of it a few months later....I can't stand not knowing how a movie ends!!!

What is it with you people? Once again, I’m the contrarian, and I hate non-conformity.
I love clowns. Their mission is simple: entertain kids. They mix zany antics with loony physical satire. They take our sane world and turn it on its head, making us laugh in the process. The mask makes them a parody of us normal folks, at once bizarre, funny, and familiar. It’s that disruption of our mundane existence that causes discomfort, or even makes them scary to some. Plus, they are the hardest working entertainers in show biz.
And, zombiefiles, let’s take this a bit further. Ya’ll remember that Land of the Dead features a crazy underground world where zombies are a source of entertainment? The zombies are menacing, but funny. They are a parody of normality. Almost, but not quite capable of normal activities. Their clumsy actions are a source of great amusement. They are, in short, the clowns of Fiddler Green.
Dead Clowns? A bad idea poorly executed. Killer Klowns? Not quite as funny as it should have been. I shamefully admit I have not seen IT. My favorite clown is also the villain of the decade, Heath Ledger’s brilliant Joker in The Dark Knight. OK, he is really more of a jester, but that’s just a verbose clown with an agenda.

Pulled IT off the shelf and watched it tonight. If I had remembered it starred the magnificent Annette O'Toole, I would have watched long ago. Back in 1990, it must have played while I was on a business trip, or pulling Reserve duty in the Navy. Anyway, I missed it then, and that was during the dark days when I could not figure out how to set up my Sony Beta for a scheduled recording. Anyway, I enjoyed it. Good movie. Great clown.

ZomCom: Repeat after me... "Clowns are scary." They are menacing with their fake smiles and big feet, hiding who knows what from us, while they mascarade themselves behind cute balloon toys... That's why people find clowns creepy, cos they are false. I've seen children run from them! Trust those children's instincts - they are still alive! lol
I forgot to add these 2 clown horror films with are shitty:poo::
Killjoy and Killjoy 2 - midget black clown who uses powers to kill those who bullied him as a kid......terrible film.:puke::poo::puke:

Poltergeist 2 blew out the ass though. I sa it too in the theaters as a kid and was greatly disappointed in that flick. Part 3 is okay and wayyy better than part 2.

I got 2 and 3 in some crappy box set... Amityville Horror (new one, reason for buying the 7$ box set) Poltergeist 2+3, and, The Legend of Hell House... Havent watched that one yet. I liked Part 4 when they were in the high rise apartment... at least from what I remember of it... Tom Skerritt

I have Poltergeist 2 and 3 on a double feature dvd set too. Part 3 was the one with Tom Skerritt in the high rise and had Nancy Allen in it too. Soon after filming the movie the lead little girl actress died from some disease she had.
