Zombie fan and web comic artist here. I enjoy most zombie movies and media. My favorite zombie movie is Shaun of the Dead. :drool:: )


I decided to make a little zombie-related survey to get to know people:

1. What is your favorite zombie movie? Shaun of the Dead, Return of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Fido
2. What is your favorite "hidden gem" or "underrated" zombie movie? Fido, Bio Zombie
3. Describe your favorite zombie from a movie: I really love Fido. I like Shaun's naked dead roommate, Pete. Very amusing.
4. What weapon would you (ideally) use to fight off the invading zombie hordes? Hopefully a gun that's not too loud (if I had some ammo). For non-gun weapons, something light but functional.
5. Have you ever participated in a "zombie walk"? Yes, Northampton Zombie Crawl, one of my favorite days of the year.
6. Are you associated with any zombie sites on the web? If so, what one? Not yet, but soon
7. What is the worst zombie movie you've ever seen? One of the Resident Evils, I forgot which one
8. What is your favorite line from a zombie movie? "They're coming for you, Barbara." and pretty much any line from Shaun of the Dead.
9. Who is your favorite character from a zombie movie/book? Shaun, Ed, Fido, Cherry Darling
10. What is your favorite title of a zombie movie/book? Shaun of the Dead (humor)/ Night of the Living Dead (just a great title)
11. What character do you relate to the most from any zombie book/movie? I'm actually not sure yet.
12. What would your role be in your group of zombie survivors? Would you survive? I'd either die right away for being slow or I'd survive a bit by staying calm and quiet during the chaos. I would definately ride someone's coattails though.
13. What zombie movie scared you the most? 28 Days Later was the most realistic. Evil Dead's effects are still amazing.
14. Did any zombie movie ever make you cry? No
15. Why do you like zombies/zombie media so much? Because the threat isn't just one killer-anyone could become a zombie, no one is immune, and I love the concept of people from various backgrounds being forced together to survive the legions of the undead.

7. What is the worst zombie movie you've ever seen? One of the Resident Evils, I forgot which one

You clearly have a lot of zombie films to watch if you think the Resident Evil stuff sucks.:lol:

13. What zombie movie scared you the most? 28 Days Later was the most realistic. Evil Dead's effects are still amazing.

Don't let Darthjoe catch you calling 28 Days or Evil Dead a zombie film, if you stick around you'll see why.

Ok, so it's a TV show, but Dead Set (the final siege on the house was the only time I've ever been terrified by a zombie piece)

Nope

15. Why do you like zombies/zombie media so much?
Just a very powerful sub-genre, with so many more layers than just your usual horror. Mortality is always a compelling thing to consider. The idea of widespread panic and emergency broadcasts... I just love it.

Why wouldn't someone love it? Besides, I love how the main antagonists could be anyone you know. Your neighbors, boss, kids, etc....And I love the commercial satire that Romero uses....It makes you think. :think:
