Okay, so say a zombie outbreak was to happen. You have survived a week or two, well, what happens after that? in everyday society, you're quite safe from someone wanting to mug you or break into your home, let alone kill you. But if an outbreak did occur, life would be so much harder, every day youd have to make sure all areas of the location you were staying in were reinforced. you couldnt just casually take a stroll into town and buy some food. youd need protection, e.g a weapon, friends to back you up. and youd probably have to break into a store, unless its open. in any case all the food, items etc have probably been taken already. life would suck. and what happens when you get old? you couldnt avoid a quick zombie bite. youd probably walk as slow as they do. it would suck.

what would you do for the rest of your life?

if i had a large enough group. e.g 30-50 people. id take over a village or a small area of town. and try to re-populate.

This is where the re-populating happens, just like you said. Build a fortress, if thhe infected die out it would make it easier.

Sorta like in I AM LEGEND. Find a cure most importantly, it will be hard
