I just finished the fourth episode of the third season. All I can say so far is WTF is going to happen to Prada? I bet Dexter kills him and his brother.
I want to know how many seasons they can keep this show going for. With the adolescent serial killer on the way this show has tons of potential.

Dexter is excellent! I've seen Season 1 & 2 but none of 3. I hate waiting for episodes every week so I'll wait patiently for the box set & watch them all together :)
Michael C Hall is a brilliant actor! Loved him in 6 Feet Under too.

I just watched the new episode of Dexter. Miguel Prada has it coming to him :axe:. Only three episodes left and this season seems to be moving along better than the previous two. My only beef is that Dexter isn't killing as many people, which is why this show was so good. Now it just seems to rely on the story rather than the graphic nature of the program. Don't get me wrong I enjoy show that have good stories, but i was sold on this one because of the violence it depicted.
Once this show is over I have nothing to watch. Any recommendations?

I can't remember his kill count but I think it's 2. I think at this point, Dexter is so busy with Prada, his marriage, the baby....that he doesn't have time to hunt.
We also have the "skinner" plot which has produced some nice kills.....and he's still at large. :scare:
:drinking: I think Dexter got signed on for 2 more seasons....I can't remember where I heard it but if its true,....

Well if you are looking simply for graphic violence in a tv show I dont really have any suggestions. However if you just want a list of really good television I would suggest the following.
Heroes(yes it they have got there shit together again)
Lost
Battlestar Galactica
Terminator: The Sarah Conner chronicles(it is spotty but worth the time)
Fringe (pretty much JJ Abrams take on modernizing The X-files)
Flight of the Conchords(Returns in Jan, I would say itsd The Office meets Seinfield with music)
Hate to spoil it but Smits dies... Everyone who discovers Dexter's secret has to die. Not to mention Smits actions as of late will have to put him on Dex's list.

Go out and rent or buy the first couple seasons of Nip/Tuck....Beautiful, sexy, funny, violent, dramatic. I swear I'm an addict....The new season starts January 6 but I'm not too excited....The last season, I think it was 4 maybe? wasn't that great I couldn't really get into it.
But the seasons before that are amazing, you will love The Carver....Holy crap he is scary....

Animated Dexter Coming to Showtime
From: Showtime/STYD

Ready for the further adventures of Dexter Morgan?
On the heels of the record-breaking premiere of the 4th season of Showtime's series Dexter, the network has announced the launch of an exclusive animated webisode series entitled Dexter: Early Cuts.
The twelve-part series told in four, one to two minute chapters, will premiere on Sunday, October 25 on Sho.com.
With Dexter: Early Cuts, for twelve weeks fans will get a chance to learn how Dexter?s killing techniques evolved, from haphazard to the calculated methods seen on the show.
In this multi-part web series, written by Dexter producer and writer Lauren Gussis, viewers see the demise of Alex Timmons, a corrupt Gulf War veteran, Gene Marshall, an arsonist, and Cindy Landon, a "black widow." The series will also provide fans with fun and interesting facts about Dexter, including how he bought his boat, the Slice of Life and when he began collecting slides of his victims. Each webisode will be brought to life by a different illustrator. Kyle Baker, an eight-time Eisner Award winner, and one of the genre's biggest names, headlines the roster along with Andres Vera Martinez and Ty Templeton.
The stories are driven by voiceover from Dexter (Michael C. Hall), narrating his investigative process as he discovers his victims' guilt, stalks them for reconnaissance and eventually doles out his unique brand of vigilante justice.
In addition to the webisodes, Showtime has created a multi-input game that crosses multiple platforms, from on-air to online to mobile devices which debuted in late September. Each week users are asked to solve a challenge or find a hidden clue to help reveal a never-before-scene image or video clip from a future episode of the show. Also, fans of the hit series can experience Dexter via a YouTube game called "Where's Dexter" based on the popular "Where's Waldo" concept, in which users are challenged to find Dexter in various scenarios such as a crowded city street.
Additionally, fans will be able to "Dexterize" their Facebook pages, complete with dripping blood and plastic wrap, as well as play a viral online game, DextersChangeTheBaby.com. Through the game, fans can upload their photo and replace the face of Dexter's new baby with their own image. Fans can choose from a series of baby photos and share with friends via Facebook.

I LOVE this show, have all the seasons on DVD and watch it religiously every week, I cant wait to see what happens next week, I have a funny feeling I know what the big season end twist they are touting is going to be, going to spoiler my speculation just incase anyone has not seen this season etc etc
Deb is going to either walk in on dex killing someone or in some other way find out about him, that or rita will find out,
maybe hell kill her, shes been real shrill and annoying since the 2nd season, but my money is on deb.
thoughts?

aye it was great, the best part was when trinity was on the table and said "ive accepted my fate, but can you accept yours?" which took on a whole new meaning in the last few minutes of the show, gonna spoiler tag this next bit.
dex is gonna be in a somewhat sticky situation now, trinity supposedly already
skipped town, now dex's wife is dead in his bathtub by trinity , or at least in
trinity style, which is going to be really tough to explain to the authorities
since dex knew all the details about the case and with trinity supposedly
already having skipped the country they might try and pin it on dexter as
using a copycat trinity style to kill his wife for one reason or another,
plus on top of that deb found out about dex and the ice truck killer being
brothers and with dex being at trinitys house so early before everyone else, I
think she is going to start to link dexter to trinity in one way or another and
slowly start to unravel what he really is / does, plus whats gonna happen to
the 3 kids? astor and cody might go with the grandparents but what about
harison? no matter how you slice it dex is in a real pickle and next season
should prove quite interesting.
over all was probably my favorite season of Dexter since the first, and the final episode was super intense, what a great show, the only bad part, gotta wait until next september for more, also, I have this nagging feeling that season five will be the final season of dexter, I sure hope im wrong though.

Here's an interview with Michael C Hall
Two days later, we’re still shaking. The season 4 finale of Dexter delivered a few jaw-dropping jolts — and one shocking death. We asked Golden Globe nominee (http://news-briefs.ew.com/2009/12/15/golden-globes-nominations/) Michael C. Hall, a.k.a. America’s favorite serial killer, Dexter Morgan, for his thoughts on the big twist and beyond. Let’s issue a SPOILER ALERT and cut right to it.

Warning: Stop reading if you have yet to watch tonight’s killer Dexter season finale. Everyone else, see below for my exclusive postmortem with executive producer Clyde Phillips. Among the hot topics discussed: When (and why) was the decision made to whack Rita? Will she return as a ghost? What was the alternate cliff-hanging twist? And when the hell will Deb figure out the truth about Dex?

I love the opening sequence - very clever the way they make everyday things look violent and creepy! Only up to season 2 here in the UK but ordering number three on DVD from Amazon US. I know Lila was meant to be bad and evil but even before she turned out to be a bunny boiler she irritated me beyond belief (even though I really like the actress)!
Also, does it make me weird that I was secretly rooting for Dexter to let his brother live?
