Yeah, Zombie Planet was really bad. I mean REALLY bad. And it really is a shame because the premise is so good!

Oops, forgot to say what it is about.

It is about a new low-carb drug that is released in the near future that helps people not crave carbs...however the problem is that it makes them need meat of any kind. So basically the people become addicted to eating any kind of meat. Then, it just says "the unexplainable happened" and the dead started returning to life, which is a pretty large plot hole if you ask me. But I let it go, because most zombie movies have plot holes the size of my nuts anyways.

Unfortunately the majority of the movie (save for a flashback sequence) is in the future, so we don't really get to see the carb craving drug in action. Anyways, there are a lot of things that make this movie bad. For one, the script is ****ing terrible. The acting is ridiculously bad, to the point of making Fulci movies look like Shakespeare. The zombies look pretty stupid too, and they talk. The action sequences are really boring, with some retarded kung fu style stuff.

I could go on but it would take all day. Anyways this is definitely a movie to skip. It was a major disappointment to me because I thought that the website looked really good, and the premise sounded really interesting and unique.

Damn...

Zombie Planet did not sound half bad on the website, but if it has bad acting, script, zombies, everything else, then I probably won't attempt to see it.

It's too bad, The premise was kinda goofy, but fitting for our time.

Hateful, you are the ultimate Zombie movie completist, I must give you that. I just watched this flick the other day, and I think its the first film in recent memory, other than Back To The Future Part II, that already features a trailer to its sequel along with it. I did learn something after watching this film though. Along with Zombie Nosh, and Vampires vs. Zombies back-to-back-to-back: Bad B-Films definitely can be grouped separately. In what category do I place Zombie Planet into? "PAINFUL!" I couldn't wait for the end of the film, and what made it worse for me was that it was shot on video. :?

My copy's on back order. Hopefully, they restock it soon. I don't know. I'll probably still buy the sequel if I hate the original. It can't be as bad as Zombies vs. Vampires..... Can it?

Funny you should ask that. I saw both flicks back to back, and although I'm still recovering from that experience, each left me with a totally different feeling. Don't get the wrong impression, I'm not defending Vampires vs Zombies. It was scene for scene just as terrible as Zombie Planet, but with Zombie Planet I thought the flick was utterly painful, while Vampires vs. Zombies I was pointless. With Vampires vs. Zombies I patiently waited for a story to unfold, and at the end said "WTF was that?" While in Zombie Planet, I couldn't wait for the closing credits. At least in Vampires vs Zombies it was less than 90 minutes, while Zombie Planet was 2 hours long. http://members.aol.com/badzombienight/zzz.gif

When this film was first made, a couple cast members became board members. A few people who caught showings were impressed with the film as well. I suppose I'll have to wait to form my opinion when I finally receive my copy, but I'm still hoping for something I enjoy watching.

Okay so the story goes like this: Scientists discover an enzyme that can stop people from craving carbohydrates so that they will lose weight but then it gets out of control and people end up craving red meat so bad that they turn into zombies and eat people. It's an original idea, clever, but the MOVIE WAS HORRIBLE! Every zombie looked like micheal jackson in thriller and i don't mean all the zombies from thriller just micheal jackson with the huge forehead and all. The people could not act if their lives depended on it. The main character wore spandex and painted one piece of his hair white because he thought it would make him look badass. There was also a lot of men in makeup not to mention the guy I thought was a woman half way through the movie because his voice was extremely high and he wore pink eye shadow. The only cool scene was when this lady ate a dog named fifi (note that in real life the dog's name is coco) I didn't understand the flashbacks, it seemed as if they had accidentally placed the scenes out of order and didn't realize it before they released their dvd. Everyone dressed themselves up like idiots and the plot or story didn't exist anymore pat the 20 minute mark. Why is it that they had a really great idea and then turned it to poo! :poo: :poo: :poo: :poo: Why?!?
