Bram Stoker Award-winning author Jonathan Maberry is at it again.
He’s preparing to present us with what he says is an irresistible, fully illustrated and fascinating guide to the forensic science of the undead.
It’s in the tradition of bestsellers “World War Z” and “The Zombie Survival Guide,” according to the Bucks County-based writer.
“Zombie CSU: The Forensics of the Living Dead” ($16.96, Citadel Press — a division of Kensington Publishing) follows the case from the first zombie attack crime scene and collecting evidence to securing the nations’ security and planning the attack to stop them.
With more than 250 interviews from real-world experts in law enforcement, forensic science, medicine, the law, psychology, the military and philosophy, the reader will see how the real world would react, research and respond to an actual zombie uprising.
The book release party takes place from at 7 p.m. Aug. 26 at Borders in Warrington and includes a panel discussion with Maberry, a neurologist and a zombie expert, as well as a zombie costume contest for all ages, with the grand prize being your very own zombie portrait by zombie artist Rob Sacchetto.
Maberry also is the author of the award-winning Pine Deep Trilogy — “Ghost Road Blues,” “Dead Man’s Song” and the recent release “Bad Moon Rising,” a series of supernatural thrillers set in Bucks County. His nonfiction includes books on vampire folklore (“Vampire Universe”) and a dictionary of the occult and paranormal (“The Cryptopedia”).
Borders is at 1565 Main St. (Route 611 and Street Road) in the Valley Square Shopping Center; Warrington PA
Information: 215-491-8653.
