Hitting theaters tomorrow, (August 13th), and I can't freakin' wait! I wasn't very excited when I saw the regular TV trailer, but once I saw this red band one it definitely got me psyched up! Gonna see it Saturday afternoon when the in-laws are here babysitting!!

Caught Tropic Thunder over the weekend and laughed my ass off! If you like Ben Stiller's style, as I do, then this is definitely well worth your money. A couple of surprises were appearances by Matthew McConaughey and Tom Cruise. Both of their parts were major roles with appearances throughout the movie, so I was surprised that they haven't been advertised at all in the trailers. Then again, Tom Cruise if pretty much box office poison nowadays, and McConaughey hasn't been funny since Dazed & Confused. Believe it or not, though, Tom Cruise was the funniest character in the movie! He plays a producer with an extremely short temper and foul mouth which was absolutely hysterical in every single scene he was in! Danny McBride, ("Rico" from Hot Rod), also plays a special effects guy who wears a vest with a small tag on it that reads, "NOTLD Special Effects". I thought that was pretty damned cool!

I actually just got out of the theater. I really enjoyed it....Tom Cruise?!?!?!?!!? what was that all about!?

-yea i noticed that too....i thought it was pretty cool. You never really get a chance to see what all it says on the back though.

In my opinion, I think Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. were the funniest :lol:
