First before you go to see this movie you should visit the RealD 3D website to find the closest movie theater to you that is equipped to show a 3D digital movie. The reason for this is this movie was made in 3D and to enjoy it you need to view it as it was intended to be viewed and thats in 3D. Because of this you will want to see it in the theater and not wait till its on DVD. Most of the thrill in this movie relays on the 3D effects.

When I went to see this film today the first question I asked myself is will Brandon Frasier (or what ever his name is) be able to deliver the fun action like he delivered in the Mummy series. I say yes he did kinda sorta. lol

The first 30 minutes as usual was character development and no action. I felt that dragged on a tad and could have been delt with quicker but from that point on the action was continious and you kept entertained(sp?) On the negative side I felt the movie needed more action scenes and the movie was very predictable. More time should have been spent on underground adventures and less time on character development. Also they should have made the movie maybe 30 minutes longer to have added the extra action and adventure that the movie needed.

If this movie was not in 3D I probably would have been bored with it but I just simpley loved the modern 3D effects and that made the movie fun. Overall I say it was not a bad movie but was no block buster ither. I give it a 6 out of 10

I wanted to see it really bad just because the original is so damn good.

This one was bad. Well before I get into it I think it would have been great if I had kids to take it to. Very good family action adventure with a wholesome plot.

I guess I just had too high of hopes since I love the original.. and seeing that brendan fraiser was in it I was thinking it was going to be "legit" action not the dimmed down family fun. And the boy bugged alot. I know he was supposed to play the misunderstood, jerkoff teenager but it distracted a bit to much from the movie.

The original was a solid adventure film! it delved into everything unknown and interesting about the theory of a hollow earth. This one was just like going caving and getting stuck with antics to follow. The original version of this film was without the 3d and was said to be what the director referred to as " a classic adventure movie" he backed out of the project when the studio adopted the 3d.. feeling that it would just be a rollercoast (cave mine ride hahaha)

overall.. good for family fun.. not so much for a fan of the original. The 3D was fun. 4/10

I saw this a few weeks back mith my little bro and sis.

I didnt like it at ALL. It would have been a little better if it wasnt in 3D.

Especially the weird black 3D glasses, they make me get sick looking through them :puke:

2 thumbs down

1 thumb up if your taking little kids
