And, why were you were keeping it a secret?:-(
I bought A Zombie Guide, of Corpse, because it was described as a definitive book about all things zombie. It is shamefully lousy. Book of the Dead is everything that The Zombie Guide is not; professional, exhaustive, definitive, well-illustrated, enjoyable to read.

I really like the various posters they have throughout the book. Plus, the Zombie Filmography towards the end. It is the perfect source when looking for a zombie flick you have never seen before 2006.

The book also goes into great detail over the social context of the zombie movie genre. From VooDoo zombies to atomic age zombies to Romero apocalypse zombies, the genre encompasses issues of race, class warfare, colonial exploitation, the Red Commie scare, nuclear war fears, science run amok, the dangers of excessive consumerism, and untrustworthy governments and the military, to name a few. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it.

great book. The author does have some opinions that I disagree with (Fulchi's zombie films r not the best of the bunch). essential reading for any zombie fan.
