You know, that guy. The one that everybody worries about. I live in central texas, have a big jacked up 4x4 built for survival in every possible situation (aptly nicknamed the Screwball) and am a diehard gun guy. Found the forum by accident, and the gun discussions caught my eye. That, and I'm a zombie movie junkie. But I'm the guy that watches them laughing, saying, "That happens in texas, it's gunna be drunk rednecks in trucks killing zombies"

Does this forum have meet & greets like my KLR forum does? Those'll be some fun dinner conversations :evil:

Detpat, you'll probably think I'm :loon: but I got rid of my last AR a couple of months ago. It was a Bushmaster M4 clone, and I just never was content with it, just never felt right. I bought it for work (I'm a LEO), and I found that when I go for a long gun, I almost always grab my Benelli M1 Super 90. Its a better gun for that purpose, and its just as accurate at the distances I'll be shooting. I can put a 1oz slug between your eyes at 65 yards with a cylinder choke & open sights with that gun. I would like to pick up an AK sometime in the near future, but until then I have a chi-com sks. It makes the perfect "truck gun," meaning one I can clean with brake cleaner & oil with used motor oil, and its still going to function properly.

I'm currently not on any gun boards at all, spend way too much time looking for parts for my KLR & 4x4. :doh: Besides, then I get bad ideas that I need more guns. Like I really need another .35 Whelen & another .45-70......
