I agree with this person... Let's first play god/dump chemicals/crash a venus probe/whatever teh hell is GAR's explaination is, have it bite us in the ass and THEN speculate on how to cure it.

This thread is kind of silly, for several reasons.
1. We don't know what caused the outbreak. And no, it's not limited to Romero's explanations. Virus, voodoo, satan, aliens, nanomachines, toxic waste, bacteria, fungus, parasite, radiation, witchcraft, angry spirits, chemical weapons... who knows?
2. There is no way to reverse the infection. Even if you could remove whatever factor caused the zombifications, you couldn't reverse the fact that even a zombie corpse is decayed, damaged, and unable to survive as a living thing.
3. Even if we knew the cause, I doubt anyone here would have the expertise to know how to treat it. And if there is somebody here who is capable of such a thing, finding cures for hypothetical infections would be a waste of their time and talent in a real world where people are actually dying of real problems.
4. If we were to come up with a general answer to the first problem, we still don't have enough specific knowledge to begin looking for the solution.

Now i knowthat a cure is impossible because zombies are dead, they have no soul(Duh-OH )
But here is how you make a real life zombie(info stolen, i mean borrowed from the wikipedia page on zombie),a scientist,Wade Davis discovered this
investigations, claimed that a living person can be turned into a zombie by two special powders being entered into the blood stream (usually via a wound). The first, coup de poudre (French: 'powder strike'), induced a 'death-like' state because of tetrodotoxin (TTX), its key ingredient. Tetrodotoxin is the same lethal toxin found in the Japanese delicacy fugu, or pufferfish. At near-lethal doses (LD50= 5-8µg/kg)[5], it can leave a person in a state of near-death for several days. The second powder, composed of dissociatives like datura, put the person in a zombie-like state where they seem to have no will of their own
impressive, huh

Very impressive. I'm going to try and make some of that stuff.

Or there is the voodoo zombie, where you make some random powder out of chicken bones, blow it in their face, and suffocate them with a pillow until they are brain damaged.

You're talking about plants which contain a chemical known as "scopolamine." In low doses, it's useful for treating things like sea sickness. In slightly higher doses, it's useful as a "party drug" similar to LSD or ecstasy. In slightly higher doses still, it can produce the mind-controlling "zombie" state in people.
In some places of the world, this drug is used to rob people of their free will and make them actually participate in committing a crime for you, whether it be robbing themselves, robbing somebody else, date rape, or any one of a number of nefarious deeds.
Problem is, up the dosage anymore and the person will overdose. It's estimated that up to 50% of people who take it as a party drug will have a deadly overdose. The numbers are higher for "zombification" attempts.
There's already a cure for somebody who has been turned into a zombie this way. Lock them up for a couple days until the effects wear off.

"Right now I sense this thread going no where real fast, but I'm gonna give it a chance, with this warning. Keep It Civil, and Keep It On Topic, (theories of Cures, not Causes.) or I'm coming back with the axe."

Well, the only "cure" that will work regardless of the cause is a one-time administration of a lead pill to the cranial region. :-)
