I think that may have just been the original title of World War Z.

No, the full title of the original was 'The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection From The Living Dead'.
I'll see what I can turn up.

I didn't know he was Mel Brooks' son.

I didn't know he was Mel Brooks' son. Not only is he Mel Brooks' son but for anybody who cares or has seen The Graduate starring Dustin Hoffman, he's also the son of Actress Anne Bancroft who played Mrs. Robinson. She was also in The Elephant Man with Anthony Hopkins which her husband Mel Brooks produced believe it or not.

This is way cool.
Also, for those that did not know that Max Brooks was the son of Mel Brooks and Ann Bancroft, Max Brooks was a staff writer on Saturday Night Live. He has other credits as an actor. He was on Roseanne, Pacific Blue, and 7th Heaven way back in the day. He also has a career in voicing acting. His voice has been featured in the animated shows Batman Beyond, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and Justice League. His wife is a screenwriter.

At Wizard World Chicago last year, Brooks gave away copies of a mini comic to promote this new book. (yes I got one, and had him sign it!!!)
It's like a teaser comic to get you excited for this new book. Although, there is no information on the comic anywhere. It also makes me wonder if this is suppose to be a GN or some kind of comic series or what. Because what I have is a true comic.
I'll take a picture of it and post it on here.

So what about the novel? Did you see my pictures in the other Recorded Attacks thread?
I posted pictures of my copy of the comic preview I got last summer at Wizard Chicago.

wow this comes out THIS WEEK! Im surprised there has not been much news about this on this site.. i just had to join show this.
Ok, I got the book today and I'm a little dissapointed.
First of all, it's a very short read. I finished it in a little over an hour. The majority of the stories are taken right from the Survival Guide, and they're pretty short too.
I don't read many zombie comics, so I can't really say much about the graphics, seemed OK, not great though. I would love to see something in the style of the concept art for the WWZ film.
I guess I expected something comparable to the WWZ book, or something like the first guide. After all this is Max Brooks.

I went to Barnes and Nobles on October 6th to get the book. Saw that it was mostly pictures and not many stories at all. I love Max Brooks but no way was I going to pay $17 for a 144 page comic book. Sorry Max! So instead I purchased Zombies: Encounters with the Hungry Dead. It's 32 short stories (yes even has one by Max Brooks) and over 600 pages for only $20.
