We had a thread on this awhile but its MIA. Anywho Paul W.S. Anderson (AVP, mortal kombat ect) is directing. Jason Statham is starring.

The plot is loosly based on the original which had Sly and David Carradine in a big ass race. This one has prisoners racing against each other to be set free I think.

Ive been psyched for it for awhile.. and I think there done filming:drinking:

As long as there are boobs I am good. This moving was one of the few times I saw boobs as a kid. :D

Yeah. I'm thinking this one will forget to add the humor, since I read they're doing away with the points system from the first movie. The first one was plenty of fun to watch. Statham's hopefully going to use some martial arts outside the vehicle.

Favorite character was Frankenstein by Carradine. Stallone played a good nemesis as Machine Gun Joe too. The announcer was funny, reporting whenever someone got a number of points. Hopefully the remake will give the DVD release more attention. Corman collection I think it was.

Damn, that looks awesome! It is not like Death Race 2000 at all except for the race. Still, it looks promising. I will check this out in theaters for sure.

I love what the trailer is showing! Fast cars, lots of guns, and Jason Statham kicking ass! I'm definately going to see this one in the theaters!
