I know I probably missed something here, but nobody's perfect. :)

Here are this weeks choices:

The Evil Dead (1981)
Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn (1987)
The Exorcist (1973)
The Shining (1980)
The Blair Witch Project (1999)
Poltergeist (1982)
The Omen (1976)
Night of the Demons (1988)
Suspiria (1977)
The Grudge (2004)

Reminder! For the second week in a row, you can choose more than one in this poll.

I think The Evil Dead would be a good movie choice

I picked the Shining for this week. It's one of the most well-known horror films in history, and it's always fun to chat about Jack Nicholson's crazy acting skills.

Evil Dead and Evil Dead II but they are pretty much the same film, Sam Raimi just re made it with a little better equipment and a little more money to spend.

this is a misconception, the first 7 minutes of evil dead 2 is a recap of the first, and everything from ash hitting the tree on is a direct sequel to the first movie, taking place directly after it.

dead and loving it

I gotta pick Evil Dead 2 because it's one of my all time favorite movies, and I need an excuse to fire up my old laserdisc player.

I picked The Shining and Evil Dead. Both great movies that I have seen several times. And I won't have to watch them on YouTube because I own them! :)

I actually met some of the guys who made the Evil Dead movie. It was in film class in high school and these new-comers to filmmaking came in and showed us how they did some of the special effects. (In particular, the woods rape scene where they used reverse action to film the vines holding the girl down.) The movie was originally named Book of the Dead. It wasn't until I saw the Evil Dead movie that I realized it was the same movie that I had seen parts of in class.

"I picked The Shining as my first pick, because it will ALWAYS be one of my favorites."

"Next came Night of The Demons, because I've heard good things about it, but have yet to see it."

"And I had to add Suspiria, because it's a good old fashion twisted cult thriller, and I think everyone should see it at least once." :)

This has been my arguement all along. :xIn the thread about Zombie Ass Kickers someone nominated Ash. Which we know kicked deadite ass not zombie ass. BZN posted some info from IMDB where they call them zombies in the plot summary to put and end to the arguement. :drinking:

Hence my confusion.
