I picked 2001 Maniacs because I have never seen it. Never even heard of it actually. I will have to look it up on Netflix.

Hope to see everyone on Saturday!!

2001 maniacs is a pretty cool movie. I voted for Scream cause I feel like watching it.

I picked scream.

but I also picked other because friday the 13th 4 : the final friday is THE slasher flick IMO , and would be my first choice, but baring a massive write in campaign getting that particular movie enough votes, my 2nd choice is scream.

jason lives definatly has the best kills out of any of the movies, but its also the first with "zombie jason" and the first where it starts to go way over the top ( as if the first 5 werent over the top enough  ).

part 6 is my second favorite behind part 4, I love the whole tommy jarvis story arc.

I went with the Friday the 13th movies. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/bzn123/Smileys/Characters/jvsmily.gif

I just ordered Scream from Netflix just in case it remains in the lead. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/bzn123/Smileys/Characters/1bnz_smiley.gif

I voted for Halloween or Friday the 13th Part II. Had to stick to the classics.

we already have polls ready. But a jap horror night sounds good for the future.

looks like its a 3 way tie!

I picked Halloween, just because it's the only one I own (which saves me a trip to Movie Gallery), and it has tons of moments for all of us to comment on without the fear of being kicked out. "Look behind you!" "Don't run into there!" "Yeah I see what I like!"

OK, it's looks like Halloween (1978) by a knife's edge for this Saturday night. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/bzn123/Smileys/Characters/mikemani.gif :axe:

I hope there aren't different cuts of this on different DVDs. This is the one I have:

I'll be watching it on YouTube tonight. There wasn't enough time to order it through Netflix. If anyone else had this dilemma, just go to YouTube and type in "Halloween 1978 part 1". I think it has about 13 parts, but it's not too difficult to keep pace with everyone else while watching and posting. You just fall behind a few seconds.

I know there has been many different translations of this film, produced over the years, in the spirit of making an extra buck... Here's a just few of them:

Extended Edition (http://www.amazon.com/Halloween-Extended-Brian-Andrews/dp/B00005KHJV/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1210432345&sr=1-4)
Television Version (Limited Edition) (http://www.amazon.com/Halloween-Television-Version-Brian-Andrews/dp/B00005KHJT/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1210432345&sr=1-10)
Unrated Director's Cut (http://www.amazon.com/Halloween-Unrated-Directors-Widescreen-Two-Disc/dp/B000VKL6Z2)
Restored Limited Edition (http://www.amazon.com/Halloween-Restored-Limited-Brian-Andrews/dp/6305546797/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1210432753&sr=1-17)

The original, and untampered with version should do fine. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/bzn123/Smileys/Characters/1bnz_smiley_Lthumbup.gif

It's a damn good thing I own the original version (although it's digitally remastered with dolby digital sound, but that wouldn't affect the runtime).
