well.. I admit I enjoyed house of the dead for the over the top shitfest that it was..... but other then that laugh-along movie his flicks suck. so somebody made a petition.. well read along from arrowinthehead:

This isn't "news" in the traditional sense, but 'round these parts we've got to make special exceptions when it comes to certain people... Okay, one person: Uwe Boll.
A few days ago, a Petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/RRH53888/petition.html) showed up online practically begging for Uwe Boll to cease making movies. Several sites jumped on the bandwagon, supporting the suffocation of filmdom's most hated auteur. At the moment, there are 138,918 signatures. Boll found out about this and told FEARnet that if the petition reached 1,000,000 signatures, he'd agree to stop ruining the art of cinema (http://www.joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=11738#) forever...
Now, perhaps seeing the writing on the wall (or the screen), Boll has come up with a brilliant counter-attack: A petition of his own seeking one million signatures in support of him. Or as he likes to put it, "Pro Boll."

Never seen a Uwe Boll movie. Probably the best idea for people who really do hate his movies is to do the same and just not watch them, that will have more effect on the studios who hire him than any silly internet petition.

He may not be a genius or even a good director, but he's doing what he loves and he never forced anyone to watch any of his movies, so I have no animosity towards the man himself. I think this whole petition thing is a bit of a shame, to be honest - Uwe has feelings too. :)

I actually think Postal looks fun: I remember seeing the first ten minutes online and I was in stitches. It's EXTREMELY politically incorrect, to the point that I don't think a "good" director with a bright future would have the balls to risk his career making it. Whatever, I wish him luck.

yes they do, if he was just making bad movies more power to the man, but he is taking good video games, with alot of promise to become great movies and ruining them, making them something completely difrent and unwatchable, I dont so much want uwe boll to stop making movies as I want him to stop making video game movies.

It is the most worthy petition I have signed since the Evil Dead the Musical's petition. I hope he stops making movies once this petition reaches a million. The only Boll film I've seen is House of the Dead , which was horrible but I couldn't bring myself to sign the petition. After watching that youtube vid he made I think we might have a modern day Ed Wood Jr on our hands!

I for one am not going to sign this petition, which violates the freedom of speech that I know and love. I know that Uwe Boll isn't exactly a Tarrantino or Carpenter, but so does he, and he dosen't give a damn about it! You have to admire a man who acually knows he's disliked for what he does, and still does it anyway. To make a bad movie dosen't take much skill or sense, but to keep on making bad movies takes some real cojones, and I would LOVE to see any of you other Boller-Haters do what he has done, take all the abuse he has taken, and then decide whether or not this filmmaker you're all bashing should keep being bombarded by people like you. Go ahead! I'm waiting right here!

Don't get me wrong, i think his films suck:poo: i turned Alone in the dark off half way through. And that bit in HOTD where they are trying to get to the church, how long did that shoot out last!ZZZZZZZ:drool:. But! Would these films have been made if Uwe wasn't around, and would they have been any better if some one else did them? Some times it's better to have something, rather than nothing! I would like to thank Uwe though for flashing up clips of the HOTD game, so i knew what i was watching:lol:

I think it's funny but it will certainly offend a lot of people, which IMO is a good thing. There's too many people in the world, from all religions and nations, who believe their world view is, for some reason, unassailable. Think about the radical Muslims around the world who rioted and threatened violence because some Dutch guy drew a funny sketch of Mohammad (link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jyllands-Posten_Muhammad_cartoons_controversy)) - what gives them the right to rattle their swords over that when it seems the very same people burn flags and effigies of other leaders every other day? Or think of the Church of Scientology trying to muzzle free speech and debate about their practices (link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_and_the_Internet)). Or the church of bible-belt nutters who picket funerals and preach that gays and Jews deserve to die (link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westboro_Baptist_Church)). People like these hypocrites need a kick in the rear from time to time remind them to stop taking themselves so seriously. Of course it won't work, but at least someone's trying. Just a pity he's such a poor director.

This was a Michael Bartlett film & it was terrible! The strange thing is how he managed to make such a poor film, as imo the script/idea of the film was a good one ( telling the tale of a survivors hand written diary ) but the acting & well i don't know if any of the people involved have ever seen a zombie film cause it was :poo: with a capital s!
So mr Boll is not the only one out there.
